  1. Tonali clearing blind...rather put it out if you're not sure
  2. Had a coffee in a cafe called The Two Magpies, and then followed an Alfa Romeo Tonale for a while before it roared off aggressively into the distance. So we're gonna win 3-1
  3. Sure it's been said but I love that it was this team of players that got us this cup. Some of them might be coming to the end of their time with us but they were there from the beginning and we wouldn't be where we are without them. Now, whatever happens, they'll go down as the true legends they fully deserve. For many of the team, and us fans, it's really only just the beginning!!
  4. Insert penis into consenting adult Thrust enthusiastically for 30-40 seconds Release Cry Tear penile acl
  5. Is this slightly badly phrased and is actually 2 pronged: 1. Clubs can now arrange sponsor deals with companies connected to owners (which is great going forward!) And then separately.. 2. PL can't overrule the sums agreed for 21-24. (Great for anyone that the PL refused, or forced to accept a lower valued sponsorship deal)

The whole messaging that Lewis-Skelly is the victim after he deliberately went to foul an opposing player is a pretty damning indictment of where we are with football nowadays. Fine to essentially cheat but heaven forbid the refs potentially getting a decision wrong!!
  7. Proper mid-table 6 pointer today.
  8. If there was an easy fix I'm sure they'd do it and if it is the case they're waiting for a big bang then so be it. Large sections of the fanbase want signs of earlier success (4th) and maybe happy to sacrifice the longer term, whereas the club are potentially wanting the big prize (1st or at least CL every year) and happier to wait. Admittedly the initial messaging from the club was ambitious and they may not have anticipated the PSR restrictions etc, but I think we need to accept that it's out of their hands and move on from that view. Either way, we can only speculate. But I'm enjoying football again without the fear of relegation and some great players to watch so I'm content. For now
  9. That is the more favourable angle for Saliba. This one shows it in a different light for me as he is looking straight at the original ball and misses it completely, catching Pedro. His touch after was not intentional at all. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGdBhGn9v/ To warn - it's an angryginge clip
  10. I don't think Saliba did get his head to the ball per se, he mistimed his challenge and caught Pedro - it was the redirection of the ball by Pedro that hit Saliba and he wasn't anticipating that. He didn't win the ball he was going for and it was luck rather than judgement that Pedro's knock glanced off him.
  11. I don't disagree tbf but the ref did call it as a pen in real time and he wasn't wrong in this instance. So not entirely sure why there is so much furore about it...not like VAR overturned a wrong call
  12. Welcome to football post VAR im afraid. Besides, the ref deemed it late in real time speed and and then VAR using freeze frames. It WAS late.
  13. I saw a clip where someone clicked through frame by frame and Saliba definitely caught him late after Pedro had played the ball at which point I don't see how it's not a foul. Anywhere else on the pitch, or any other part of the body and its not even questioned imo
  14. I like those that admit it was legit per the rules but bemoaning the fact that the rules are ridiculous. Funny we've never seen them criticise it as much before this weekend...
  15. It was a risky pass aimed at JL and could just as easily have hit him anywhere else. In which case the narrative would have changed to sloppy spurs trying to play out form the back etc... Such fine margins!

Would rather 90m to go abroad than 100m+ from a PL club.

    Paul Mitchell

Really needed some footage of the interview so we could analyse the fuck out of his body language. There would have been no hiding once his own body betrays how much he hates Eddie and what a control freak/narcissist he is
  18. I'm not really spending much time on it to be honest as I'm not privy to all of the facts. Though I never said we couldn't strengthen - on the contrary I'm sure we could have to a degree. But I don't know why they decided not to. How could I, or, anyone outside know? Unless they tell us of course but I guess some people won't believe them anyway as they/you aren't "bothered" what they say as it's spin. Nowt wrong with speculation of course and it's half the fun of supporting a club. Moving from one target after being rebuffed to another isn't "very" flexible mind you. Maybe they didn't like the 3/4/5 choices and decided to wait to get Guehi next year. Again, we can't know. It's a marathon not a sprint etc and they're thinking 10 years ahead whereas they're lucky if many fans can see past 5 months to the next window
  19. It was pretty grim though maybe some benefit of the doubt given it was probably a pretty hard game to come into, in terms of getting up to speed and under a lot of pressure at the time.
  20. It's not the only thing that makes sense at all considering Eddie himself said that we may opt not to spend money for the sake of it. So it may be there, but decision was made not to spend as couldn't get our highlighted targets. Whether or not we should have moved to lower targets is a completely different scenario mind you
  21. No, I don't believe I did but maybe so. I just don't get why anyone thinks it's particularly fair to drag the club over the coals over a potentially rough 7 months (impact of which has yet to be seen on the pitch) when they have delivered us years of improvement and rescued us from Ashley. Even if they have erred, then they deserve the chance to resolve. IF issues are still present come this time next year, then that's maybe fair . But we can all support (or not as the case may be) the club how we see fit.
  22. Why is January the cutoff? Are the years of goodwill and progress beforehand wiped out? Ashworth and Stavely leaving has potentially caused some disruption but let's give the club some time to settle down into a new structure. So we might stay static for a season, I think they deserve that time and static now is infinitely better than before they came. What's the worst that's going to happen? If we have issues after next summer then that's a different conversation.
  23. Had Brightons pants down for the 30m if you ask me.
