Just stop this boring shite and go straight to pens please.

Peeps only read the tweet nowadays! Was a good article, nice not to be all doom and gloom - I did like the term "funstratung"

Fuck it, gonna place a bet that he bags 20 goals next season.

Love a Bruno pass to the oppo keeper

I'm not really going to disagree with you as we don't really know who did what. What I will say is that i don't personally believe Howe will have had the ability/time to scout effectively overseas so of course his list is going to be PL biased. I don't think Eddie is going to object to overseas players if they are the calibre of Isak, Bruno, Tonali (?) And Ekitike. Someone needs to find these players though and its my opinion that responsibility sits elsewhere. But appreciate others have a different view!
-
Nephew Howe needs to go. Uncle Howe needs to stay in his lane, assuming the club puts in the structure for him to do so of course.
-
That wasn't my argument....
-
No idea what you're talking about but it sounds silly.
-
Agree with you, but thats not a Howe problem - club needs to be better at scouting. I don't give him credit for Bruno or Isak...frankly no idea who was responsible but its a shame they weren't around to do the same.
-
With Trafford and any 2 of Cunha, Mbembo, Ekitike or Pedro, and it would have been a different season. I'm sure Howe would have made that point to his bosses. Still probably should have been better but there is enough "mitigation" (in my view) for Howe to be given the chance next season. Hopefully the club can get him players from the top of his list this summer.

2 seasons I reckon. 1. European season 2. Non Europe season If he smashes it next season with considerably less games, then we know he can do it but not with a lightweight squad. So then the Q is that assuming we can't have a larger experienced squad (PSR restrictions), is Howe the right man for us if he can only get a tune 1 season out of 2? Edit - that's very simplistic of course and doesn't include other factors such as who is responsible for recruitment
-
I guess the system doesn't work at the mo because we don't have the players or too many games to maintain the levels needed. We should have had the players after the summer but it didn't go to plan. I blame the entire senior team for that, including Howe, but think thats enough mitigation to give him time next season. We're also not getting spanked every week in thr league, its very fine margins

Great finish to be fair

Not defending Eddie and understand why it may be time for a change, but the lack of respect from some cunts on here, who don't have 10% of his class, is pretty galling
-
I agree with this. Being "rubbish" doesn't necessarily equate to bad attitude. Yes it's a damning statement and understandable as I'm sure Howe is disappointed by his poor form - he's under pressure himself and signings reflect badly on him.

Ramsey still not over the Pope howler

Its TBG so you can pretty much guarantee a whooshing is afoot

I hope it wasn't lost on you that I didn't actually quote your post as I don't entirely disagree with you. Obviously you'd ideally want best of all worlds, I was focusing on Wissa only as people are highlighting his potential future resale where clearly he wasn't purchased for that purpose. Elanga and Nick W clearly have different metrics for analysing their potential returns. As does every player.pl I hate to get into ifs and maybes, but I dont think its beyond the realms of possibility that a fit Wissa from day 1 would have us further up the league. As a wise man once said, I prefer to watch football with my eyes. All this analysis of PSR can be frustrating and a distraction, and get enough enough of it at work frankly Again, wasn't particularly aimed at anyone in particular.
-
Judging a player (Wissa) purely by resale is ignoring all the other revenue streams they contribute to. As BobbyD said yesterday, if Wissa was to get the goals than secured us top 4, then thats a huge chunk of ROI right there. I doubt any exec in the club would give a shit if we "lost" 35m over 3 years on him if he kept us at the top of the league. Yes, ideally you'd have both, but you don't always need to. I love football, but anyone not treating it as a normal business is a little naive and focusing on one metric is either agenda based or ignorance of how companies value investments. Now Elanga on the other hand...

Luke is a huge cunt to be honest and supporting a successful team is probably the only meaningful thing in his life.
-
Will be the next Matz Sels for a Brighton or Bournemouth.
-
Presenter "What was the last thing you said to the team?" Howe "Id rather keep that to myself!" With a smile of course

Happy Birthday Fab! It's also my birthday but sadly that is where the similarities end
