Dont even know why our transfer record is such an issue now. I remember back in the day when our record was John Trewick for 250k in what seemed ages until we paid around £400k for Paul Goddard. Then again, 12 years and for Ashley not to trump it is just final proof as to reasons why any eventual new owner is progression.

If he did fly in yesterday he still wouldn't have arrived at the training ground by road as there's bastard road works all over still. Just when you think one has cleared they start another one.
-
Oh well. Happy Florian Lejeune Joining Day to everyone.

It was just 5 minutes ago that the press were hoaring around stories of Rafa having back up targets about 8 deep for every position. Now we're expected to believe his toys are out because he's missed 1 or 2.
-
Hopefully these little stories, truthful or not, remind people that Newcastle need an owner with a blank canvas of trust rather than one that puts greed, lies, contempt for history and everything else designed to increase the weight of coin in Ashley's pocket ahead of our hopes and dreams of the club being the best it can possibly be. Once bitten, twice shy and all that but this little revival we've had under a Corbyn-esque type of momentum will massively bite the fatman on the arse if he cocks this up. Aside from major kick off, his financials would take a major hit and on that score I reckon things will progress this week on a positive note for us.
-
If the club is pissing about still with their conference calls behind the managers back to trump earlier bids then Ashley will deserve everything that comes his way and hopefully with it a spiral that bankrupts the cunt.
-
Still no need to panic. Anyone we sign cant start training until July 3rd and if they've been on international duty, wont start until July 10th. Hopefully there's irons in the fire just waiting to be taken out.
-
Wait until July 3rd and Rafa introduces 6 signings that nobody knows about on Sky Sports. #IfCarlsbergDidTransferWindows

If I put my speculative head on I could say something like getting rid of all the risks in his life and getting sure things in place like ready money but if I use my normal napper I'd say we wont be shot of Ashley for a long time. Whether that be in the flesh or with some sort of clause attached to us.

And the rest. I've heard figures of between £25m and £40m a year from people who are qualified to make that valuation. Hence why I put £10m+ Yes, that's right. Ferraris cost more than a tenner; the idea was to provide a more accurate figure than that which you proposed. A random figure with a minimum value neither shows me unqualified to make that valuation or even attempting to provide one. If I remember rightly, it was Llambias or someone at the fans forum that attempted to cost the sponsorship to be around £8m a year but then again im still guessing. As for Ferraris, they are £20+

I wouldn't read a word of the sun not even the bit that says Page 3? I do get the occasional urge to indulge in the political meanderings of Prosecco (18) from Croydon. Not. Jokes aside, you just know that there will be a profile matching that description dont you?

I believe nowt either although when an exclusive is attached you suddenly think it has more to it. One thing that hasn't been mentioned anywhere is that most contracts will either end on June 30th or see a calender year of a deal come off and we may have one or two ready to go through on July 1st. Maybe Fernando is one of them.

Fernando incoming? https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/3854909/newcastle-fernando-manchester-city-rafa-benitez-5million/

Wonder if it's because Rafa doesn't want any of the linked players, especially Lejeune?
-
I fail to see where we'd need a massive investor to continue to stick the funds in unless they make a pigs arse of it by getting relegated and have to protect their original investment. Running us on the Ashley model of self sustainability would have the advantage straight away of funds generated through merchandise going straight back into the club instead of down Shirebrook. There's also the small topic of ground advertising as the SD logos are stopping us from at least another £10m+ a year as it is. The potential for growth could be massive instead of having a brand that caps it.
-
Alternatively, has anyone tried to buy a normal one and get rid of the sponsor themselves before? http://www.wikihow.com/Remove-an-Iron-on-Transfer-From-Clothes

Thought this was a done deal? The currant bun have an exclusive where Celtic have joined the race at the last minute.

An unproven striker from a club with surplus personnel due to the greed of wanting all upcoming players. The unfilled potential is then only available on a loan so that he can be attempted to develop for that same greedy club without upsetting their applecart too much and is then expected to be given a starting spot to compete against the likes of the same greedy club but not directly against them due to loan conditions. In doing so a certain percentage of wage is used and a slot that would normally expect to be used on a player that will give his all here to either get his club to better things and increase the ambition of your side achieving something is lost. A potential £8m - £12m striker that with a good season under his belt for a premier league side could see his value increase to £25m - £30m in a shot. A real kick in the bollocks for a side that develops but no skin off the nose of Chelsea who can just loan him out again if he turns out to be a dud. Why are some having a meltdown again?

A few of them will be getting the jitters tonight as they get their fixtures in the morning. Reality will then set in.

I thought it was from one of them editor things like but just saying that if it was this that it isn't too bad. I still have an inkling it's red tho.

Obviously it's personal choice but for me it's just a group name, so no harm done really. One thing ive always had an issue with is 'Toon Army'. Now that name is something to gan radge about as it never made sense.
