In the context of a club that had it's soul ripped out of it and was rotten from top to bottom just over a year ago pre-Rafa, the fact that we're guaranteed a home second leg in the play offs at worst is not one to be sniffed at. If anything is achieved for both the team and us as fans over these next few days then it is to reflect on the job done so far and the need for patience in the run in. It's time to really push the team over the line like a bus that has run out of petrol or in our case, a battered Nissan Micra.

Im surprised it's taken this long for Darlow to escape criticism. His kicking has been shite since he's been here and moreso when he's under pressure as nearly every clearance then finds touch in the stands. He's also a very slow thinker and cant distribute quickly but apart from that he's propa mint like.

Promotion chasing aside, this isn't papering over the massive fact that we're so far short in the squad. Some massive issues ahead that need tackling whether it's under Rafa in the premier or some fossil in the championship. Leadership and experience on the pitch for starters.

That would mean we could 'afford' to lose one of our final 4 and draw another to then allow us to finish above them on goal difference as they wont make up the 30 odd goal swing. Our 85 point haul could yet be enough but my initial feeling that 92 points is the figure this time round has been revised to 87 so we need one more win and then i'll be planning beer trips in advance of the promotion party. We win and they lose tomorrow, then we'd need just 2 more points or for them to drop some but there's been far too much dodgy stuff going on against us in this league that it's odds on that we'll be left sweating for a while.

We've had a bit of gloom recently but the way things are working out, we could be promoted on the same weekend that the tramps get officially binned. Maybe even the same time on the Saturday if we have to rely on the Huddersfield game. The weekend of our Cardiff away game.

I reckon it's because they open the doors at the back of the stands to get out at a point in the 2nd half. Usually you get a few wander in that support us so this was always going to happen one day. he was defo a Leeds fan and the banter turned to hate as soon as he started beating his chest and saying some sort of chant. Ive also been to every home game under Rafa and see his tactics as gaining control first before going on to a plan B of an attempted increase of tempo. With his pedigree of being in every scenario going, he wont drop his arse and I expect nowt to change from now until any promotion is secured. What is interesting then is if he'll go 2 up top to placate the shoe wavers if we're in a position of having a title wrapped up.

I agree the last relegation took around 5 years to get over but id say the next 2 years would be a fairer reflection of recovery time this time round and that's not including the fact that we can easily change the policy of spending in dribs and drabs rather than cash up front or breaking the habit of a lifetime under Ashley and using an overdraft to accumulate. It's not all doom and gloom aside from one man making it seem that way.

To think, Ranieri is crying out for a job in England and would be the closest theyd get to a messiah to cling on to. Hardly think about these now anyway, never mind their obvious struggle for mid table next year in the Sky Bet league.

There was around 20 turnstyles. I used to go in the corner as a bairn in number 7 or 8 but sometimes if it was chocka we'd go in the middle block of 4. Im sure there was another big block in the West Gallowgate as well plus just around the corner beside the old West stand there was a little block.

The league standard is a mile away from the premier but people forget that our squad is designed to tackle the championship so will resemble a championship team in it's quest. It's also well documented that Rafa hasn't met Ashley yet and the expected meeting wont be done until the season end so The Sun story is the usual 'guess' work.
