I see the point you're making, but at the same time I think it's possible to be dominated in spells by a superior team without it automtically being the manager's fault. And I reckon you're selling our defenders short as well, I thought they were excellent as a unit even when under almost constant pressure.

People keep saying this and yet the few times he's played there he looks awkward. I think left back is simply his strongest position. Agreed. He should in theory be able to play RB but the few times we've tried it he just looked uncomfortable there.

Can't remember the last time I felt so confident going into the last 10 minutes with a 1-0 lead - they visibly ran out of ideas and the way Krul was playing I just couldn't see us conceding. Great result.

That's definitely his trademark these days - if this doesn't work again he won't just tweak it for the next game, it'll be the whole blueprint in the bin and start again.

I've just seen Chelsea's penalty - unbelievable decision, really does make you wonder about exactly how close to the line between ineptitude and corruption some of our refs might be.
