Bet it took him ages to type that out.

Always thought Bardsley was a decent fullback, usually one of the mackems' better players, and has a goal in him too, which would be a massive novelty. We don't actually have a lot of cover at RB of you consider Santon doesn't look comfortable there and Perch and Simpson have gone.
-
I agree. Seemingly a very unpopular view these days though.
-
Based on his performances for a substantial time now, why would anyone? He needs a manager who understands his limitations. He's a bad footballer. Pardew's the best thing for him. He's our goon. Good at what he does, but why are you giving him the fucking puck? Excellent call

Amazing as it seems, 12 months ago that was a realistic possibility. Enough to get him an 8 year contract.

Blackpool 0-1 Newcastle United (FT) post-match discussion from p12

Can't believe I've only just noticed the fingers interlocking behind the neck - it's a proper Argie death-grip! -
Don't worry man, when we're in the relegation zone in January we can just bring forward next summer's spending again - simple!
-
So, turns out Joe Kinnear is a shit Director of Football. No way anyone could possibly have seen that coming.
-
Signs are they'll have a much better season than us.

Here we go: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2376173/Newcastle-United-rocked-captain-Fabricio-Coloccini-miss-season-opener-Man-City.html

I think that's spot on. Genuinely apathetic about the start of the season here, been enjoying the cricket and just trying to avoid all the summer transfer nonsense. Think the only way to cope might be to start treating NUFC's season like a series of Dream Team - tune in to watch it once a week, enjoy the drama then forget about it until the next episode.

Motherwell 2 - 4 Newcastle United (FT) Post game euphoria from pg 19

Makes perfect sense to pick the players furthest along in their conditioning for the first pre-season game imo. Good reward for their effort, and added incentive for the rest. -
How dare you! We'll have none of that talk round here! It is good news though, he's saying and doing mostly the right things just now, hope it continues.
-
Of course he does. Biggest load of shite I've read for a while that. That is a worry mind. Although remember Pardew successfully converted HBA into a right winger so maybe he can make Bent into a number 10...

Looking forward to it. Especially what he says (lies) about JFK. He won't stray far from the official line I reckon. He may be privately seething but no way he's daft enough to go public with his anger.
-
He has been very quiet like. Wouldn't be at all surprised if he's taken legal advice on his position since JFK turned up, chance to walk away with a decent wedge and having not been sacked would be tempting.
-
Aye. So would I in his position. Unless we offer him double the money. Which we won't.
-
Well we were promised a signing before Friday - well played JFK!
-
In all seriousness I wouldn't be surprised if there are mental health issues with the bloke - he can't simply be just this thick can he?
-
Don't worry lads, we've got the best Director of Football in the business, if anyone can pull this one out the bag, it's him....

Hate hearing these crap excuses, it has nothing to do with the players around him. He would stand out a whole lot more if that was the case, instead of blending in and not standing out ahead of anyone else. I think it's a fact, but mainly in the sense that it's a lot easier to play well when surrounded with better players, and in a team that is usually dominating games - put Cabaye in Man Utd's midfield with all the movement around him and time to pick his passes and of course he would look better.
-
Is dynamic a new word for no creativity? Cabaye was credited with 2 assists this season, hasn't been the creative force you might imagine. I just think if you have a midfield section with plenty of pace and power you free up more time and space for HBA and hopefully someone like PEA to provide the creativity.
