  1. One of our better players earlier in the season but has looked weak as piss his last couple of games. Strange.
  2. Men against boys today like. Or a team with a net spend over the last 5 years of 430 million against one with none - depends on your perspective I guess!
  3. You can still get 20/1 on us with some of the bookies: http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/relegation Seems generous tbh - tempted to have a nibble at that!
  4. Agree - can understand why Marv isn't starting this one.
  5. 'They are winding me up and i dont even want them to win' This is a quality deconstruction by Neville
  6. Haidara fit according to this: http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2013/03/27/61634-33067120/? Would use him and Simpson as fullbacks if Debuchy doesn't make it.

Ligament damage confirmed for Fletcher - could be cattled for the season: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2298494/Sunderland-Steven-Fletcher-season-ankle-injury.html
  8. England: Hart, Walker, Smalling, Lescott, Baines, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lampard, Cleverley, Young, Rooney, Defoe. Taylor not starting - no surprise really.
  9. Back soon according to Jonas (2nd leg v Benfica mentioned) http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jonas-gutierrez-says-newcastle-united-1766661?
  10. Ooh - might actually have a reason to watch an England game for once!
  11. The two joke billionaire clubs at the top of the list - money can obviously buy the best medical staff and facilities too.
  12. The bookies still have us as a 20/1 shot, if some of you really are thinking it's a decent possibility you probably want to be smashing into that. The mackems are as low as 7/2 now - shocking form and tricky fixtures looking like a potent cocktail....
  13. I really rate Sissoko but he had a genuine shocker today - absolutely nothing he tried came off.
  14. So annoying today - the Haidara incident really ruined the game for me, horrible when something like that happens, and for it to go unpunished was completely unbelievable. Thought Wigan offered very little and with even a fair percentage of decisions we would've won the match.

    Alan Pardew

Very unlucky today - missing our 4 best players, 2 fullbacks crocked within half an hour and still took 2 ridiculously bad decisions to beat us.
  16. Looking for positives, this hopefully means we can pull him out of the French squad.

This is the 4th time this season their opponents have had a man sent off in the first half - in the previous 3 they went on beat Wigan and Fulham and drew with us. Without those 7 points they would be joint bottom, and looks like they're going to benefit again today. Jammy buggers.
  18. It was genuinely uncomfortable watching him - I was willing the camera to look away!
  19. Villa very, very lucky to be level - scored with their first attempt while Guzan has made loads of top class saves.
  20. Just had a cracking laugh catching up with this thread. These Benfica lads seem a great bunch, even more pissed off I can't go to the away match now.
