    Steve McClaren

Fucking hell we're such a pathetic, embarrassing mess these days
  2. We've been here so many times before I can already tell how today is going to go - we're going to put in another substandard performance, lose badly, have a brief few hours of hope that at least it means the manager will get the sack before the inevitable confirmation via Lee Ryder that the club are still fully behind him and still believe we'll be absolutely fine... Relegation is almost going to be a relief.

Well if he was thought it was only one journalsit writing negative articles he's managed to get them all at it now: http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/newcastle-united/latest-nufc-news/steve-mcclaren-involved-in-row-with-journalist-who-accused-him-of-being-out-of-his-depth-1-7774894? Omnishambles.

Presumably the crisis meeting will be a meeting of the board. Of which McClaren is a member. You couldn't make this shit up

"Telegraph Sport understands Charnley still wants to give McClaren more time. He has not made any contingency plans for McClaren’s departure at this stage, even though the likes of David Moyes, Brendan Rodgers and Rafael Benitez are out of work." We're absolutely fucked

See i don't get that, say we beat Bournemouth and then get murdered by Leicester, what's the difference. We're in a position because he's a poor manager (the players should cop stick as well), beating Bournemouth changes absolutely nothing in regard to McClaren, he'll still be a poor manager. Shame the idiots running us can't swallow their pride and just admit they got it wrong appointing him. It looks like they're pinning absolutely everything on our home form - beat Bournemouth and that's 3 home wins in a row, keep that going and we would probably be OK. Bollocks in reality of course, because there's no way we'll win all of our "winnable" home games, but it's my best guess at the thinking behind the current stance..
  7. Think we might scrape a draw and sneak out of the bottom 3, and that will be enough to keep McClaren in the job.
  8. Thought he did OK, makes a big difference having 2 centre halves who can head the ball.
  9. Doumbia showed more in 7 minutes than he managed in the previous 83 - poor, poor game for the lad.

If he stays, we're down. It's really that simple.

    Sunderland

Just noticed O'Shea went off injured last night, anyone know what's up with him? Could be a big blow, he's been holding their defence together lately.
  12. They shouldn't be so deluded, just like us nufc fans. Never Pardews fault. Fuckin' Palace fans subbing Wickham when he was on a hattrick He took off Wickham, Bolasie and Cabaye - textbook Pardew trying to defend a lead when before his subs the mackems looked a beaten team.
  13. They've got Liverpool next, then Leicester - this could go on for a while yet....
  14. They've taken 4 points from their last 11 games, keep that up for the rest of the season and they could well be down....
  15. One small positive of a Taylor/Lascelles pairing is at least we would have some fret from set pieces for a change. I'll try not to dwell on their lack of mobility against Afellay, Shaqiri and Arnautovic.....
  16. So many parallels with SD and NUFC: http://www.businessinsider.com.au/investors-criticise-the-way-sports-direct-is-run-2016-2?
  17. Expect to lose but as an absolute minimum we need to look organised and as if we have something resembling a game plan. Another hammering and confidence will be in the gutter for the Bournemouth game.
  18. It's not them I'm worried about, it's the mackems - they're only a point behind us, playing much better than us and pretty much guaranteed 3 points in the derby.
  19. We'll lose this without troubling the scorers. Stoke are much better than us.
