Are quotes regarding transfers generally that common? There seems to be a need to see them to believe any interest is genuine but imo nufc fans just want to see them as fuck all is happening on the surface.
-
Probably because the bloke who is seeing transfers through is on holiday.
-
Seeing it aswell Oddschanger @Oddschanger 6m Newcastle are now 1/3 from 40/1 to sign Scott Sinclar with BEST PRICE 3/1 available Would take him without doubt.
-
Get Remy in and if so then also Bent. Would be quite satisfied with that given our current plight. The approach work needs to change hugely if we sign Bent like.
-
Gazza has a back catalogue of incidents and they are fairly well documented. ever so slightly different with Remy like.
-
Altidore's record pre AZ is dreadful. Has a lot to prove. They are making moves though it has to be said.
-
Just generally better. One of Cabaye's poorest attributes.

Well I can see that of course Chelsea are a bigger club and that he was indeed coveted by lots of clubs. But imo Demba Ba is a finance driven player, notwithstanding anything you mention in your post. I won't use the same excuse if say Ben Arfa went there. I know it's not new players looking for the money but i'm just stating what I think Ba's motives were, aswell as his agents. Fair enough, I just don't think that particular move was as certain as you claimed. His other transfers would suggest it though I don't deny. Still a cracking player though. He's an awesome player and was quality here. The thing about Chelsea is, I reckon if a club with equal stature as us had activated that clause and were offering him increases in his salary etc, they'd have done all they can to make it happen. iirc he was getting linked with some pretty random clubs.

Money was the primary desire, thats fairly clear imo.
-
That Ba one is weird. Obviously his move to Chelsea was money driven but I bet he's disappointed he's been shown the door so quick there.
-
Defiantly got potential and I like his direct style. Great delivery on him too. If he wants games then fair enough, would have liked to thought he'd get some here though.
-
I actually do agree with you here, he's an utter moron, but his total idiocy is comical at times so I'm not that arsed about him.
-
Exactly the same, really want him out of the country ASAP. Not really that bothered personally, he's a class player to watch. Aside from the two games we play them in he can do as he likes, good entertainment (excluding the racism)
-
Very true, also seems to be an over estimation on our boardrooms pride. If Remy is available at a good price we'll certainly be looking. Wether he rejected us in the past will mean little to Ashley when it's cost effective.
-
Easy for us to sit here and proclaim moral decency but it's different for young footballers who get offered loads of cash. He has no affiliation for Newcastle, we do. Doesn't make it any less annoying or disappointing when it happens, but it's not surprising.
-
Aye I dont deny his potential, but never reached the levels he should have for numerous reasons. Didn't notch enough goals either for me.
-
I thought he blew hot and cold. Unarguable ability but as mentioned blighted by injury and at times his desire was questionable (imo).
-
When we missed out on him I was bothered about the club threatening to miss out on another target - couldn't really find blame on his part. Shite club QPR but money does talk.
-
He hasn't been found guilty of anything yet and likely he won't be. Would love him here. Class player who not so amazingly got his head swivelled when another club offered him more money. Not exactly new.
-
Dyer's level wasn't that great imo.
-
The longer this window goes on without us bringing a striker in the more i'd accept us signing him like. I know he's nothing special anymore but I not pinning any hopes of us pulling a wonder signing out.
-
If we do sign Bent then we need to see a big change in our style of play and the service will need to dramatically improve, if it doesn't then he'll experience the same as Cisse has season just gone, and that's the worry whilst Pardew is about. He does score goals but he's a hugely limited footballer when it comes to everything else. Not worth 8million, maybe 5 tops. Think Villa will want to cut their losses though and knock the asking price down. If he scores v Sunderland then it's all worth the pain.
-
Still think it's nailed on Darren Bent will be in our colours.
-
We'll no doubt ask Kiev to notify us if they get any bids.
