  1. give me an example where a multi-billionairre has ever f***ed with one of his multi-million pound business just for s***s and giggles any, in history, that are vaguely comparable Like I say, it's a theory, and none of us on this forum have the faintest clue what is going on or why Ashley does what he does. Of course its plausible that he doesn't fancy paying Pardew whatever he's due if he's sacked so wants him to throw in the towel. If he takes out any of the others whom have mis-performed in the process well then so be it. Losing Carr would be a huge blow though. The players Kinnear recommend are likely to cost more than the ones Carr does.
  2. or another theory, is that there is no plan at all, and he's just hoyed Kinnear in for the fun of it, being old chums that they are. If it is a method to drive Pardew out then it's massively calculated.
  3. Its concerning either way. Ashley has allowed a clearly unstable person to run Newcastle.
  4. Wonder if he actually does hit any clubs? Season's just started, can't imagine him rocking Amnesia's terrace though.
  5. Word. When in Ibiza, don't hit the breakfast buffet too hard. Or just don't eat at all in my experience.
  6. Don't think JFK is that skilled to provide comic distraction. He's a nutter out of his institution.
  7. Virgil Van Dijk to Celtic from Groningen. Decent prospect apparently.
  8. The approach work needs to alter massively if we sign Bent.
  9. Aye, Beckham used to do it a fair bit when at Man Utd.
  10. One of the many things that annoys me about articles like that is the feel that all the money spent by the club comes from Mike Ashley's pocket. It's as if the club has no revenue strings, no season ticket money, no sky money etc. etc. The article mentions but glosses over the fact that only Anita was brought in the summer. I know it's been metioned countless times but a little more alleviation with budget would have gone a long way imo. Also Ashley thinks the Europa League was a waste of time? says a lot.
  11. I wondered this. How could they possibly know all that?
  12. 'that he has given Kinnear complete control at the club' fucking hell man.
  13. Aye, this may have just tipped the scales. Nice of Joe to come in and discard a player we've courted for years. Wonder who he has lined up as an alternative?
  14. How many scouts do we actually have? I'm convinced it's Graham Carr on his own?

    Alan Pardew

Stuart Pearce is looking for work.

    Alan Pardew

For such an influential roll though? He could have hoyed him in a Sports Direct if he was wanting to offer him a favour. To have such control over matters makes it look as odd as it is.
  17. The plan is in motion. Spend as little as humanly possible with people he apparently gets on with (which is now down to 1 by the looks of it) and make sure we maintain premier league footing. If that pisses us off along the way well then I doubt he's that bothered really, in fact he probably enjoys it in a sick way.

I don't have much confidence that if / when Pardew leaves we'll install a better manager, imo it's nailed on Kinnear will take the job. The part about Ashley wanting to give his chum a job or second chance may be correct, but I think it runs deeper than that. He wants the ultimate yes man, someone who has not one issue with the way the club is ran. Pardew has gone along so far but he has clearly been unhappy with some of it, and likely it's all culminated in this meeting a few weeks ago. So Ashley isn't really left with a long list of candidates. Who would want to work under such methods and bow down to everything Ashley says or does? Well you're looking at Joe Kinnear and maybe Dennis Wise. If they do go way back as people say, then that's maybe why he's here.

I wouldn't worry, the old git is blagging it anyway. He'll just agree with Carr anyway as he hasn't a clue himself True like. I'm just not sure how anyone could be pleased with JFK at the controls or trust him to keep his gob shut when, two days before it even got announced he's on radio and national tv telling a pack of lies He's clearly foaming at the mouth to be our new spokesperson.

Aye we've hired an utter burk. If I was Graham Carr i'd be slightly offended if my transfer reccomendations can be vetoed by Joe Kinnear.
  21. Aye that Holt article. If Ashley is concerned for his mate and wants to offer him some work then that's commendable and good of him. But for gods sake not a director of football at Newcastle, a cauldron of unpopularity for the man waiting to be opened back up. I'm amazed he hasn't thought of somat else he could have offered him if he needed work. Nothing personal from the fans regarding Kinnear, we just don't want him here.
  22. Means nothing even if it is. He's a shit manager who is so out of touch it's hard to fathom. I'm not Pardew's biggest fan at all but I prefer him any day over Joe fucking Kinnear. He claims he has a wide network of knowledge and contacts in the game, imo a player is much more likely to want to play for Pardew than Kinnear. What young player will want to join us when his observer is some shaking old man who can't pronounce his name?
  23. His heart may be in the right place but I personally don't care. He's an attention seeking fool who is desperate to be in the limelight again, and he values himself to biblical proportions.
