Hamburg appear to be trying very hard to get relegated. They were fortunate last year in the playoff and heading south again this year, but as you say seems to be a result of massive instability. Still, to me anyway it's weird seeing massive clubs (in my eyes) like Hamburg and Stuttgart in 16th and 18th, albeit the latter got a win at the weekend. Paderborn unfortunately look like finishing bottom after starting so promisingly. We're trying extremely hard unfortunately.

they simply hide from the truth. It's difficult for football fans TBF, they're not like any other type of consumer. We're programmed to stick with our club through good times and bad, and that's how a lot of people see it. And we're used to changing our expectations based on what happened in the recent past. Obviously in this case we've stopped trying, that's what has done me in.

If Carver gets it full time I'm not sure what there is left to support. Any footballing hope will have been extinguished.
