Let us not forget him playing LB is one of the reasons we had kept so many clean sheets. Yes we've leaked in goals of late but to put them in context they were against good opposition and are couple you could say we were just unlucky. I think it is harsh to blame Dan for these. I agree it does take away from our attacking threat so my opinion is we probably need to mixed it up a bit with Targett depending on the opposition. I still think Dan has a role to play there.

I still don't fully get why we bought him in Jan when we were crying out for a CM. The only thing I can assume is he was a longterm target who came available at the price the club were willing to pay, so struck a deal quickly to beat the competition. But he is very much a work in progress and I can't seem him having much of an impact this season - more one for next. Howe needs time to work his magic.

tbh I could understand if Wilson was firing on all cylinders but he's been misfiring for weeks. Isak on the other looks be chomping at the bit to get his Newcastle career going and he himself will need a run of games before we see the best of him. Now is the time unless he still isn't fit enough to start.

I think 99% of fans on here get that. And I don't think anyone on here were expecting to be challenging for top 4 this season, and that's down to Eddie Howe. He is also limited by the players we have to make changes when things aren't quite working. We have no bench and that isn't Eddie's fault. So he's limited what he has to work with. However he is human and will make mistakes and not starting Isak is one of them. But it doesn't mean I think of Eddie any less. He gets this club 100% and will get us success given time.
