  1. This is not the NBA. Yanks being yanks. A transfer rescinds the existing contract with his current employer, the new club doesn't take up the old contract. Otherwise it's a loan. The reason they say the price is inflated for somebody with so little left in the contract, is because in 6 months his transfer value for Arsenal will be zero. egg on my face, had always assumed it worked the same.
  2. I'm just operating on the assumption that whoever signs him is merely assuming his Arsenal contract and getting him for 6-months. Hence the price being (relatively) low for a player of his quality: http://www.espn.com/soccer/soccer-transfers/story/3347821/alexis-sanchez-left-out-of-arsenal-squad-as-move-to-manchester-united-nears I.e. not a guarantee that he signs a new contract with whomever he leaves Arsenal for this window. I don't know why he wouldn't necessarily sign a new contract with either ManU or City, but as far as I'm aware, transfers aren't contingent upon players signing new contracts with their new clubs. Maybe I'm totally wrong about that and feel free to correct me if so.
  3. Why would he end up at Bayern in the summer? Just spitballing, I have no real idea.
  4. Hasn't scored a goal in any competition in almost two full years. We'd be taking a big risk.
  5. Because I don't want people to forget it when they get battered by PSG We'll be sure to cast a medal for you.
  6. If it's just one game that proves nothing, why are you bringing it up.
  7. you jest, but some dipshit is sure to mean it
  8. If City score in the next 2 mins, there will be Not gonna happen oops
  9. The Liverpool front 3 is pure sex.
  10. please let Stifler give a history of the camera, please let Stifler give a history of the camera...
  11. Either way, he's out of contract in the summer. He makes some cash, plays for a better team for 6 months, and signs with Bayern in June.
  12. It'd be a no brainer Zero chance of it happening, unfortunately.
  13. He'll slot right in to their starting XI. Not a guarantee at City. And $$$, I'm sure.
  14. He was great going forward in the Stoke game and completely opened things up for Murphy and Atsu. Our right flank won us that match. I don't really know what Ritchie does all game, because he's neither joining in attack nor falling back to cover on that side. Like he just sits at midfield fumbling with his plums. It's Football 101 that if your fullback is going forward, someone needs to slide in and cover the hole. Doesn't seem like that happens as much as it should with this lot, which leaves our flank exposed. Yedlin does need to work on his timing though, because he gets caught off way too often. We saw him make good crosses last season, so I'm not sure what his deal is this season. His crossing has been crap lately.
  15. Jesus, surely they can find him a place in a bit better league.
