Makes no sense, hire another staff with 3 year contract is not the way to cut down budget. It's got nothing to do with trimming the budget, it's Ashley knowing he looks like an idiot if he gives Pardew an 8-year contract, fires him after 1 season, and loses out on whatever severance terms are included in Pardew's contract. We have no idea what's included in JK's contract, or really what his role will be. Guy seemed desperate enough to get back into football in whatever capacity, I'm sure he's here on a skin and bones contract. The only logical reason Ashley brought-in JK is to put pressure on Pardew. Otherwise it's a completely irrational move. It all depends on what Ashley's motivation for hiring JK is.

He loses a significant sum of cash if he lets Pardew go, no? Why not make things so unbearable that Pardew leaves of his own accord? Would make sense anyway.

Quoting and applauding your own post. Ban this sick filth.

As I said, I don't rate Pardew as a manger. He's terrible at what he does. But I don't dislike him as a human being. For the most part, he's handled his job with professionalism. This is nothing more than a bitch move from Ashley, who doesn't have the balls to fire Pardew outright. Ashley is the fat piggy on the playground who trips-up other kids as they're running but whines and tattles whenever he gets his. Complete pussy.

This team is so fucked.

Angling for a big catch there, eh fisherman?

Well if this was indeed a ploy to endear us to Pardew, it's working. I actually feel somewhat bad for the guy. Still a crap manager mind.
-
Please don't joke about this, I'm really nervous about the possible humiliation of losing or drawing with them as it is. Never mind them just scoring a goal. You'll be fine I'm sure.

To Baba's everlasting angst, will Tahiti score a goal against Nigeria today?

Gaël Bigirimana rejoins Coventry on a permanent basis

I have no issue whatsoever with it, and if it keeps him on the straight and narrow then I would encourage it - but that doesn't mean I want to see a load of religious based posts on my Instagram as I simply have no interest in it. Don't follow him then I'm not, which was why I said I was going to un-follow him... What happened here, I wasn't even criticising the bloke You ignorant bastard. -
They've only got 3 million people to be fair. Last World Cup was a huge overachievement. True enough, but with the talent they have in the front 6, they should have more than 16 points and a -3 GD through 12 WCQ matches. Uruguay is a weird team, they can turn it hot but their midfield lacks creativity and when they get on the backfoot they get frustrated. How's Lodeiro looked for Botafogo? Always thought he had potential.

Be fucking hilarious.

Granted they are playing Spain, but Uruguay have to be one of the more disappointing national sides. Wildly underwhelming throughout WCQ thus far.

Based on the pitiful performance after the Sunderland game, NUFC doesn't have a fanbase geared for coherent social activism. Might punch a few more police horses, but that's about it.

I cannot express the absolute level of apathy I have for this signing.

Love me some Don Cherry.

He's a terrible manager, but I can't bring myself to hate Pardew. He means well (most of the time), he's just wildly incompetent and utterly clueless. Ashley is at the top of the list. The things he does seem to be wholly in disregard of what the fans want. He doesn't give a flying fuck about the community.

Like a Yanks fan rooting for Boston. Disgusting.

Bigirimana... well im talking about youth players far from 1st team ready in the first years here. Bigi doesn´t count! My point is our set up sucks and no youth players have a proper chance of learning his role/position coz there isn´t any red thread in his mad house! Krul made - which proves my point since he is a goalie. Our youth set-up is rather garbage, can't disagree with you there.

Fans are like shareholders with no actual voting power. They fund a substantial part of the club, but get no official say on the running of the club. Their ongoing financial support should only really be continued if they feel like they get a return on their investment, or the management demonstrate a genuine ambition to provide the desired return: ie - good football, on-field success etc I have no idea why any fan who actually cared about the footballing prospects of the club would continue to finance Ashley's complete mutilation and hijacking of the club into his personal corporate advertising vehicle. I do think Deuce is right though, in that some fans will just go because they've always gone, or because they're not that fussed, or for social reasons, or that they either see no direct correlation between their support and the miserly returns it enables, or they're naive/optimistic/want to believe so badly that they just ignore what they see (Pardew/Kinnear etc) and hope beyond hope for the best. Sage words from St. James' regulars. Fans of Newcastle United are part of the problem. Fuck me. Reading comprehension issues with this one. Fans aren't the problem with this club. Expecting the fans to do anything about the problems at this club is naive.

English, signed from coventry. Burundian technically, but aye, Coventry. Misread that "signed from abroad" bit. Haidara then.

Bigirimana...

I was just thinking this.

The fans won't do a goddamn thing. Sure there'll be loads of self-righteous indignation, but at the end of the day, SJP will still be packed every Saturday and kits will continue to fly off the racks.
