I'm firmly in the over the moon camp. People far too quick to forget about the last decade. Investment in Chinese football has been with huge sums of money recently and there are some absolute filthy rich Chinese investors who have been touting around football ownership for a while. At the minute, we spend the club's money - if we could have that money as well as some outside investment we're onto a winner. Can't actually believe people want Ashley to stay.

I don't think anyone can argue against there being some talent there, we've seen pieces of it over the last 2 seasons and regularly see it for Serbia. However, he is never going to realise his potential at NUFC under Rafa. That much is clear and we should be looking to offload this window. I like Mitro in that he's clearly a trier and he seems to care unlike some we've had in the past, but it's time for him to go and perform well elsewhere like Jon Dahl Tomasson did all those years ago. Then we can come on this thread and say we should never have got rid.

I think that's fair, honestly Terry was nothing special at all, just consistent inside a quality team, far easier to be a CB in a team that dominates games than one in a team that is on the back foot all the time. All the players you mention where better CB's than him. I'd imagine playing centre half is a lot easier with the likes of Makelele/Essien/Kante sitting in front of you. I find it tough to judge Terry impartially though given he's an utter cunt.

Get Tierney while we're raiding Celtic. Top quality young left back although he's been linked with Chelsea recently I don't think that would be his wisest move.

If I was looking at Celtic I'd be taking Tierney first and then looking at Rogic. Both have had recent injury problems but when they're fit, they're definitely the two players I'd take from up there. Roberts doesn't have much physicality and he hasn't exactly stood out against against the garbage they play against week in week out. Only 20 year old like so does have potential but I'd rather look elsewhere when we look for a forward player.
