  1. Did they not just sign him last month?
  2. See: Carroll, A. Hate to break it to you but there's absolutely no loyalty in the game.
  3. I'm sure the Liverpool hatred is mostly on here and that the majority of NUFC fans, outside of here, are not that bothered - even after Saturday's disgraceful diving/decisions. Absolutely not. I don't mind Liverpool at all. I've always said their fans are similar to ours in the sense that they're mostly working class and passionate. However, I'm very much in the minority. After the game on Saturday emotions may have been high, but every single fan I spoke to around the city throughout the night had nothing good to say about Liverpool and clearly had a hatred for them. I then went out to watch Man City v Leicester in my local on Monday and every single person was supporting Man City - to the extent a lot jumped up when Man City scored. Finally, last night. I don't know any NUFC fan that wanted Liverpool to progress. I watched the match with my old man and he was absolutely gutted when they turned it around. The hatred is definitely not just online. For some reason, a majority of our fans have a hatred for Liverpool and I've seen that for years, before Saturdays debacle.
  4. Good Felling lad Graeme. Heard some canny stories when he was assistant at Wigan. Was told he was taking the Luton job a while back but no bookies would give me a price on it.

Portsmouth are still in the automatic race. I actually think both Sunderland and Barnsley will fuck up and Pompey will finish 2nd.
  6. Dunno where you were but that’s utter twaddle. Stayed just by the train station and drank around Granby St and a couple side streets just off it. In the afternoon 2 different locals were saying "just be careful around here tonight as it can be dodgy later on" etc. They couldn't have been more right. Had a cracking night but couldn't relax for shady characters and a bunch of staring gypsys, one in a Slazenger vest on a Friday night out. My mates Dad who I spoke to when I got back on Saturday said they found a cracking boozer so maybe we were just wrong side of the city.
  7. Probably one of the best away atmospheres I've seen for a while. The city centre was busy all afternoon with Newcastle fans mind so I'm sure the levels of drunkenness would have helped. As for Leicester as a place, what a fucking dump. Makes Sunderland look like New York.

Haven't Barnsley lost some absolutely key players to injury, essentially causing this slide? Not sure they're just choking. Doctors wont let their best striker play until next season after some concussion if I remember right.
  9. He was in Shark Bar watching the champions league tonight.
  10. Been around since the beginning of time and doesn't work. You're going to get a bad result sooner or later and it's all gone. Remember the student who stuck £4000 on Angola when they were 4-0 up? Ended up drawing 4-4. First example that came to my mind Every day there are plenty of 1/10 shots get beat during in play betting.
  11. Case has been dismissed but obviously they still have the issue of owing 20k.
  12. was this FIFA 98 on the PS1? Or was that "I get knocked down" Was that not the World Cup 98 game? FIFA 98: Road to the World Cup. I think.

Read this in Peter Beardsley's wife's voice
  15. Good times will only return when Ashley has gone, and I assume most fans will request a new season ticket once he's left. Maybe not.Once folk wander away it'll be one a chore to come back. Some of my mates sit in the local and watch every match home and away and I can't even give them a ticket to attend. A lot will say "I'll be back when...." But they won't. I get the impression you might not sell the matchday experience to them very well. Mike Ashley and Rafas negativity kill the sales patter stone dead. You could be right. I've actually started to pity you. You have so many issues with your life and this alter ego isn't going to help as much as you think it might be. I'd suggest you go and iron out your problems with professionals, and stop with this bizarre character you've created.
  16. Can't wait to watch a decent football team. Feels like ages since anyone has played well at SJP.
  17. Sorry, I hadn't seen any of the scores today!
  18. Kick off times are great for an early bet if you're like me and will have a bet on anything. BTTS doubles and trebles have been my bets for a while on the A league and I reckon it's yielded a decent profit. The standard is unbelievably shit. I was in same hotel in Sydney as Newcastle Jets last year and their best player was/is Roy O Donovan of Sunderland "fame"!
  19. I know plenty on here have been around Europe and further afield watching some random games so was just looking for a bit help regarding tickets in Germany. I'm going to head to Dusseldorf in March for a long weekend and the way the fixtures have worked, it looks like I'll be able to take in 3 games: 15.03.19 - B. M'Gladbach v Freiburg 16.03.19 - Schalke v Leipzig 17.03.19 - Leverkusen v Werder Bremen Has anyone been to any of those grounds, and how easy/difficult is it to get hold of tickets? I've looked on Schalke website for the Saturday game and it's saying I'm restricted (presumably members etc first).
  20. Random question but does anyone know what happened to Newcastle fan Harry Palmer? Does he still get to the games?
  21. Heard that earlier on. Slightly surprising it's the first time.
  22. The bad news is Mike Ashleys a great guy and he's here to stay, the good news is I've got a new 6 year contract on an improved salary with a relegation clause in case it goes tits up. You're still thinking about the bad news aren't you.
  23. I don't think he grasps it at all. The fans protesting couldn't care less what league we're in, we just want our football club back. This "unity" bollocks is just that, absolute bollocks. Magpie Group are meeting tonight at 7pm at the Irish club if this has pissed off anyone enough to want to get involved.
