  1. Comedy of errors really. Cresswell as much to blame as the keeper. Thought it was Livramento first.
  2. I don't think so, but I couldn't really tell much difference tbh. I much prefer to watch on an actual TV channel than an app. Easier to switch channels quickly and it's like a good 40 seconds ahead of DAZN, if you were wanting to put bets and stuff on.
  3. Botafogo vs Atl Madrid coverage starting on 5ACTION now (Sky Channel 150), with an 8pm kick off. Madrid basically have to win by 3 goals. Literally hadn't heard of that channel a few hours ago (likewise 4SEVEN for the earlier U21 tournament matches) I think the coverage has been really good. Sometimes, like BT/TNTs foreign leagues you'll get the programme coming on air barely 5 mins beforehand and someone commentating clearly well away from the venue, whereas here you have the presenter, 2 or 3 pundits, and then a pretty full team in the States, and that does help to make it feel more important. Nice to hear Shay and Calum a few times, James Richardson is obviously well renowned and I think Kelly Somers is becoming one of the better presenters. I've enjoyed this tournament / coverage much more than I was expecting, although that said, this 5ACTION coverage has been stopping and almost buffering since coming on air.
  4. I'll miss not having 5pm, 8pm and 11pm matches in the CWC from tomorrow. 3rd group matches are (rightly) kicking off simultaneously so the matches are 8pm and 2am UK. The 2am's are a write off.
  5. German player straight up after the ball goes in the net
  6. Last kick of the game to equalise for 9 man Italy
  7. Not sure which match to watch at 8pm, either the final Euro 21 quarter final between Germany and Italy, or Real Madrid vs Pachuca. A shame the CWC match isn't on C5 so you could just switch between them with the press of a button, like you could with the first QF and Juve match.
  8. No more than Flamengo have deserved.
  9. Botafogo beat PSG 1-0 in the early hours. By my reckoning, assuming PSG beat Seattle, A Madrid will now have to beat Botafogo by at least 3 goals to advance.
  10. The World Cup will suck next year if every other match is getting delayed 1 hour +. That Pachuca match yesterday was delayed for at least 2 hours. Not sure what a potential solution would be, perhaps play the matches much later, which would suck from a European perspective, but having breaks for longer than an actual match is no good for anyone.
  11. Fantastic finish from Salzburg, perhaps against the run of play?
  12. Can't believe there's 2 first teamers from 2019 playing. That feels like a life time ago, but is only 6 years ago.
  13. Big Salomón Rondón Didn't realise he was playing for Pachuca. Even more reason to tune in.
  14. Already looking forward to the big C.F. Pachuca vs Salzburg match at 11pm. Proper 50/50 match at the bookies and with R. Madrid and Hilal in their group, a draw isn't really good for either.
  15. Pen to Al Hilal. Currently 0-1, but they've been the better team.
  16. No Mitro in the Hilal squad? Must be injured.
  17. Quite looking forward to this next one. Interested to see how Al Hilal get on. Puchuca vs Salzburg at 11pm is pretty much a 50/50
  18. I haven't seen all the matches, most of Miami, most of Palmeiras then bits and bobs of Cheslea and PSG, but this definitely feels more like it. Feels like actual jeopardy with Bayern and the barbers in the group, so kind of a winner takes all, and the crowd is great, and a bit of a surprise current score - I saw Boca were 5/1 at Bet365 about an hour before kick off.
  19. This Club World Cup just feels like a bunch of US pre season friendlies, but with about 75% of players you'e never heard of.
  20. Yep, was going to say similar. Never heard of 4seven, but it's channel 137 on Sky. Just turned it on and Slovakia (the hosts) have just equalised via a penalty against Spain, from 0-2 to 2-2.
  21. Hmm, can imagine a few not being happy with that, especially after selling them first. The prospect of a near enough first team, or everyone in the squad would have been a decent factor. I don't mind, but I'm going with my brother and one of the first thing he said was at least it won't be split teams this time. He doesn't actually support Newcastle mind.
  22. I was just about to say I'm very pleasantly surprised that Wales were on actual BBC1 tonight, thought it would have been buried on the iPlayer or BBC Wales at best. Important match, these very likely to be 1 and 2 in the group, so the 2 matches will go a long way to determining who goes through automatically and who has to go through the playoffs. Wales: Darlow; Roberts, Rodon, Mepham, B. Davies; Ampadu, J. James; Johnson, Wilson, Brooks, Thomas. Belgium: Sels; Meunier, Debast, Faes, De Cuyper; Tielemans, Onana, De Bruyne; Trossard, Doku, Lukaku Not too often you'll get 2 former Newcastle keepers starting the same match.
  23. I can't see them coming back from this now.
