Well the new guy will be struggling to give him less minutes, so it could turn out to be a positive.

  3. They've obviously had more than their fair share of recent success, but it must be pretty grim being a City fan earmarking this match as one Arsenal could potentially slip up in.
  4. All eyes on St James' Park now lads
  5. You'd think so, but the only thing people were slightly concerned about is if they put a 2020/21 style run together. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020–21_Liverpool_F.C._season#Competitions They had lost 6 of 7 matches and after 28 games they were seemingly well out of it with 43 points, exactly the same points return as they have now, but they then won 8 and drew 2 of their final 10 matches to get to 69 points and ended up 3rd. If they did the same this season, then I think that would be touch and go for us. They don't look anything like getting 26 points out of 30 this season, but if they won today, their remaining fixtures look reasonable, and I doubt many would have been expecting a run that season with the run they were on just before that late amazing surge.
  6. Hinchcliffe just saying the opposite there
  7. That had kind of been coming. Leeds were fantastic for around 30 mins, but Palace had been coming back into it.
  8. Really looking forward to the Liverpool - Arsenal match at 4.30pm. I'd obviously prefer Liverpool not to win, but after the last few weeks there is less pressure and not as disastrous if they were to. It's hard to believe that only 4 weeks ago prior to their loss at Bmouth and our win against Wolves, they were actually above us in the table, a better GD having just thrashed Man Utd, whereas now, they are playing their solitary game in hand to try and close the gap to 10 points. https://www.11v11.com/league-tables/premier-league/10-march-2023/

But what good does that do Hearts? Why would they take someone on loan if the goal was not to get minutes, but to settle some randomer into the country? Yes, there could be longer term relationships formed with a potential powerhouse not too far down the road, but it largely doesn't make sense. He's barely featured in their last 5 matches, all defeats, not at all in their last 3. It's basically like them opening a creche for us . Their last 5 results have been 1-3 and 0-3 to Celtic, 0-3 to Aberdeen, 1-2 to 10 man Kilmarnock, and then 0-2 at home to St Mirren today, so you can't imagine the place and dressing room to be currently buzzing and therefore the minimum requisite of 'settling into the UK with a few fellow Aussies' likely won't be going to plan much either. He's probably not been as good as they were expecting, perhaps not ready, and that's fair enough, Neilson will see him in training every day, but I think it's safe to say the loan move will have gone far worse than Neilson/Hearts, Howe/Newcastle and Garang himself were initially expecting.

  11. Haha, I hadn't seen the thread bump, was casually just reading the Forest forum, and I'm in stitches at some of the replies. Literally laughing out loud This site is awful for posting links mind.
  12. The title race couldn't be much closer from a betting perspective. Most places have them both 10/11: https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/winner
  13. South Shields won 3-2 in front of 2700+ and now just need two points from their final 3 matches, or Warrington Town not to win all 3, and the title and promotion is theirs.
  14. https://m.skybet.com/football/premier-league/event/29301792 Current top 4 odds. Villa are running out of games, poor GD, and many tough fixtures left. They're still 100/1 after todays results, Liverpool 7/1, Brighton 8/1, although Liverpool's odds will drift tomorrow if they lose to Arsenal. Edit - Villa will come in a little bit if they do beat us especially as the bookies have us faves for that one (current match odds are AV 9/4 NU 5/4), but still far too much for them to do.
  15. They are in amazing form, but they were too hamstrung at the start of the season to threaten the top 4, even if they beat us next week. From our perspective, we are 9 clear of them, with a game in hand, and a GD advantage which won't be overturned, unless they did beat us by 5 or 6. They obviously still have to play, and they will have to win, but they basically need 4 matches to overturn us, and they only have 8 left. It'll be hard for them to pass us even if they won 7 of their last 8 as we would just need 4 wins or 3 wins and 3 draws from our final 8. Another win for them today, but ironically, in terms of top 4 (not that I think they'd have realistic hopes, their fans would have been, and will be, delighted with 6th or 7th considering where they were under SG) it's been a bad day for them. They have won their easiest match of the season, so doing what they, and pretty much everyone should in that fixture, whereas Newcastle have won at a team who had only lost once, to Arsenal, at home this season, and even Spurs won a match where they were surprisingly betting underdogs, so basically it's as you were, but another match gone.

Another thing is, they have now lost 5 in a row, some of them heavy batterings, so I doubt the mood in the camp is top notch at the moment either.
  17. WHAT A FUCKING WIN MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 ON THE SPIN.
  18. Izzy Christiansen apparently the co-commentator. I quite like the main comm Seb Hutchinson - he'll possibly take over from Tyler on Sky in due course.
  19. Fantastic minute. Us ahead and a reprieve for Spurs. I honestly think Brighton winning is the worst result there. They were slight faves to win that match, so are obvious legit, and before the game, with their games in hand, potentially in a better position than Spurs were anyway. Draw defo the best mind, obviously.
  20. Brighton 1-1, best result for us, but I honestly think I'd rather Spurs won if someone had to. Sounds like they have been well on top there.
  21. https://twitter.com/search?q=brighton favourites&src=typed_query&f=live Seems a few others were thinking the same. Even just at the start of this season, it would be mad to think Brighton would be favourites to beat them away.
