  1. Mad end to the season in the Nat League North. Blyth stay up, relatively comfortably in the end. Spennymoor were 6th at half time, and in the playoffs, but other results went against them and they end up in 9th despite winning, just behind Scarborough who also just miss out. Darlington finally won and ended up 10th. Chorley were 3-2 up against Gloucester after 88 mins and at that stage they were 4th with a home playoff to come, but they conceded then and in the 94th minute and ended up TWELTH . Literally 4th to 12th in about 5 mins - it was ridiculously tight. Gloucester made the playoffs with that winner, at the expense of Scarborough.
  2. Aye, Corberan went on a great run and they got themselves into a very good position, despite their awful start, but they've made a bit of a pigs ear of it this past week, first losing to Sunderland, and then again in midweek. A couple of extra points and it could have been in their hands, or going further back, just 2 wins and 9 points from their last 8 games - pretty much relegation form for a significant period of the season.

    Bet365 have it Coventry 1/14 Millwall 2/5 Sunderland 7/2 WBA 9/2 Bburn 9/1

Preston went on a good run a few weeks ago to put themselves in a good position to make the playoffs, but have since only taken 1 point from 4 games - that last second equaliser vs Blackburn. They had won 5 from 6 or 6 wins and 2 draws from 9, but just looked who they beat and it's 6 of the bottom 7 - Wigan, Cardiff, Rotherham, Blackpool, QPR, Reading. Minus 11 as well which suggests they are a poor side, so a good chance Sunderland will win. Hopefully Millwall win and Coventry draw and it will all be academic. They're obviously in a far worse position than they were 3 hours ago, but it could have been so much better from our perspective.
  5. Well that was decent at half time, but not a good ending.

Yep, if Boro beat Coventry then a win will 99.9% see them into the playoffs.

No longer in their hands, but that's a massive goal for them. If they beat Preston and Coventry lose away at Boro they will go above them, and a Sunderland win would mean they would defo finish above either Millwall or Blackburn with them playing each other, and almost certainly above WBA as well, so still a very good chance for them to sneak in, but they obviously have to win their final match.
  8. Fucking 2-2 at Sland, you can't hold them back.
  9. And 7 mins added in the Forest match.
  10. 7 minutes added at Sunderland.
  11. Aye, was just checking. Kettering 2-0 down, so that should be that. Great effort. Farsley still losing as well (only need one to fail) but they have pulled one back.
  12. Would have rather it stayed 0-1. Crowd should be more up for it now, and you'd expect there would be more chance to get the equaliser from 1-2 than 0-1.
  13. Preston level at Sheff Utd. Would be great if Watford can hang on. They seem fragile, so if they concede in the next 10 mins, I could see them conceding at least 2 more.
  14. Blyth 3-0, Kettering now losing and Farsley still losing (both 1-0), so looking very good at the moment for Blyth. Spenny were actually in 6th (7th gets POs) at half time, but so so tight, about 13th at the start of the day, and Kidderminster leading Kettering will knock them down at least one spot.

If the results did stay the same, then, the way recent results have gone, you just know Blackburn will lose to Luton, and then miraculously win their first win in about 20 against Millwall, and all 3 would end on 68 points and Sunderland into PO's on GD

Yeah, assuming Cov don't blow their lead. Millwall play Blackburn on the final day meaning one of those would get to at least 69 points, with Sunderland only being able to reach 68, but a long way to go in both matches today. They were behind to WBA at halt time the other day, and behind against Birmingham as well, although they did equalise just before half time in that one.
  17. They won't need to. If Forest win today, Leeds and Everton will be big faves to occupy the final two relegation spots.
  18. Can't see it, but would like to see Preston turn their match around against Sheff U to make sure they have something to play for on the final day when they play Sunderland. You'd think Woodman and Brad Potts (toon fan) would be motivated enough to get a result regardless, but I'd prefer the whole team be up for it. Coventry 2 up on Birmingham and looking very good for the POs as it stands.
  19. Carlisle 0-2 down at home to fellow playoff chasing Salford. Had an outside chance of automatic promotion, but will be quite lucky to stay top 6 the way it's going. Fortunately Harrogate have just taken the lead against Mansfield, so not so bad at the moment.
  20. Spenny currently beating Farsley 1-0 as well, which would complete the Blyth job.
  21. Aye, but if we were to do an Arsenal and slip up unexpectedly tomorrow, that 10 point gap could soon become 4 or 5 with the two games in hand, plus the opportunity for them to make that 1 or 2 when they play us, so still a tiny bit wary . They're doing very well today with their changed team.

Joao Pedro was expected to drop deeper today, but I see he's not even on the bench. Unless there was a later minor injury / illness, you can't see him featuring in their final match either ahead of his move away.
