  1. I much prefer it, but I keep forgetting there's no away goals rule now in the Champions League. Good for Spurs, but not as good for PSG.
  2. They've just gone 2-0 up as well, so that will be 24 points from their last 12.
  3. It's not bad either though., especially as they beat Middlesbrough and drew away at Millwall in that period. 1.6 points per game, which would be 73 over the course of the season. Boro finished 7th on 70 points last season, and Reading finished 7th on 70 the year before, so it's just outside the playoffs form. Plus that's the worst sequence you could pick, e.g. 7 from 3, 7 from 4, 11 from 6 etc. They've largely been in good form since the end of October / start of November, and probably a decent shout to make the playoffs now.
  4. They're in good form unfortunately. Last 11 games they've won 6 and drawn 3, 21 points, that's almost 2 points per game. They got an early red card at 0-0 in one of those 2 defeats. What's stranger is that at 0-0, Sunderland were 13/5 to win, QPR (only 9 points and 1 win from their last 15 games) were something like 5/4.
  5. I wasn't too fussed with that Rashford goal. Just can't see a situation where they won't finish in the top 4. I'm more concerned with Spurs, Liverpool, Brighton and Chelsea at the moment. Obviously you want as many teams as possible in and around you to increase your chances, but it will take a huge effort to finish above them this season.
  6. Would have been crazy to avoid a yellow card all season and get two within about 5 minutes
  7. Just replied to your PM from the other day @BlazeT44
  8. I've always maintained I'd be happy with 6th, and won't personally feel as though we let a massive opportunity slip. With the EFL opponent being Man Utd, 6th should definitely secure some form of Europe even if we were to lose the final. We basically have a squad of 14 to 15 and with a couple of injuries / suspension, basically nothing to bring on. In an ideal world the likes of Dummett, Fraser, Ritchie, Lascelles etc. (and in time Murphy) would all be away, and the likes of Burn, Longstaff, Willock, possibly Almiron would replace them on the bench and we'd have 4 or 5 quality first team additions, in line with a lot of our top 6 rivals, but that can't happen overnight, and we've done unbelievable to get to where we were. Expecting 5th or 6th, happy with that, but over the moon if we can keep our current position.

    Garang Kuol

Quite bizarre that his only start came against Rangers as well. If he's generally going to be a bit part player, then, as a watching on observer you'd probably have preferred that to have been against a weaker side for more chance of an impact. Can't start against the likes of Dundee United and Hamilton, but straight into the XI against Rangers. Anyway, it is still pretty early days, but if he wasn't considered an obvious starter, which I wasn't really expecting to be honest, then I'd have hoped for around 30 minutes in pretty much every game. Guess we'll see how the next 4 or so matches pan out, but if he is an unused sub in 2 of those and gets say 15 minutes here and there in the others, then it probably would have been more beneficial going to a Carlisle or somewhere.

Won't get on tonight then now that they have made 3 lots of subs. May as well have got used to the UK climate, and his team mates, here.
  12. Birmingham all over WBA here, and deservedly ahead. Hopefully the visitors can turn it around.

I am watching the Birmingham match, but I see Humphrys scores about 3 mins after that post ,

    Garang Kuol

I know he scored a wonder goal the other day, and may well be a bit of a cult figure up there (and might bang them in tonight), but when he's seemingly behind a 25 year old career League One striker who, in turn, was well down the pecking order at struggling Wigan this season, the situation doesn't look great on the naked eye. Humphrys has found himself down the pecking order with the Latics and opted to join Robbie Neilson’s squad as Hearts compete in the Premiership and in Europe. Mind, as mentioned above, he was obviously primarily used as a sub at CCM, and if that's what Eddie and the team were half expecting from this stint, then fair enough.

    Garang Kuol

Yeah, it's not ideal, especially as that Shankland lad, their main attacker, is suspended. Hopefully the Hamilton Newcastle lads do well, and then a chance for Garang to influence the game if he comes on. I'll probably stick with Birmingham vs West Brom now though. A Steve Bruce regional derby.

Can't help wishing the best for Mitro. One player who I wish it worked out here. Against the run of play a bit, but 0-2.
  17. Even more frustrating now that Leeds have taken a shock lead
  18. Pretty unbelievable that it wasn't originally selected. It is one of the more attractive matches for the neutral, and a big match for both sets of supporters. At least the Elland Road match on Sunday is on Sky.
  19. Yeah, looking more that way. He has looked fairly decent in the bits I have seen of him, but think he does have a bit of a mistake in him. Still young mind.
  20. Keeper error or saw too late?
  21. Fulham making as many as 9 changes again for their BBC replay with Sunderland. Don't really understand that, winnable L16 match at home to Leeds awaits them, great chance of making the QF, and out of the 'big 6' and us, only Man City, Man Utd and Spurs remain. They'll probably hit 40 points in about 7 or 8 games and then their final 8 will be pretty dull. Crazy that Man Utd vs Leeds isn't televised in this particular broadcast era.
  22. I'd be up for it too if something was arranged.
  23. Sheff Wed lost to Fleetwood.
  24. Just look what we could have won...
  25. Not sure if you've got some attachment to Wrexham, or just the underdog factor, (or wanted extra time), but at least Spurs will likely start with a stronger side in the next round.
