I personally think Taylor is a decent CB when he manages to get a decent run of games together, which is incredibly rare, however even if he could stay fit I wouldn't want him as first choice.

His best form, by some distance, was the 5th finish season (or at least the last 10 games of it where everything was just clicking). I honestly don't really care about this transfer at all. Good player on his day, but he left... get over it. He can go anywhere he wants for all I care. This. his best period for me was the 6 months prior to him leaving tbh Yep. 5th season the rest of the team was doing it's job and he was nothing special within that imo, albeit he was good. Before he left he literally carried the team and made it all tick. I disagree with that, literally everything going forward went through him, he dictated play in a hell of a lot of games and provided some important goals and beautiful assists, no way would we have made Europe without him.

Aye, I bet our training sessions under Pardew and Carver looked more like a kids sports day than a premier league training session, I can't wait to see if we've thought up some new routines for set pieces in particular, and have something that resembles a style of play. It really is such a relief to see the back of Pardew.

The way they mentioned getting the right players and taking their time and mentioning the next 3 windows is extremely worrying, we haven't got the time to wait till fucking January we need at least SIX players in now to have anything near resembling squad depth.

Tiote's ability to put pressure on opposing teams is probably his best attribute, he will hound and bully the fuck out of an opposing midfield, but only when he can be arsed unfortunately, hes either injured or cant be arsed, unless McClaren can properly motivate him I would rather he leaves, would still pick him every day of the week over Colback though, the scrawny ginger such and such.

I honestly wouldn't take a single one of their players apart from Pantilimon, and I wouldn't even start him if Krul can sort himself out. Would maybe take Defoe but still wouldn't play him over Perez or even Cisse.

They will struggle again massively this season if the only bring in a few more, their team is awful and the new manager bounce is no more. Similar could be said of us mind, but we have a lot more quality in most areas.

Remy was class in a Pardew team, imagine what he would be like in a slightly better Mc Claren team. Slighty better probably.

60-70 million spent in the right areas could see us fine for a couple of seasons without factoring in players leaving and injuries etc... that's the sad thing.
