Already a few threads on RTG about this, they are all arguing about whether hes good or not
-
Although I would be chuffed with this signing, if the fee really is somewhere between £10-12 million we can kiss goodbye to getting a good striker, there's no way we'll pay much more out for anyone after that Debuchy money or not.
-
Season ticket sales must be rrreaaaaalllly shite if we've spent more actual money.
-
I'm not really arsed about the size of the stripes as-long as it's black and white and looks nice, which I think it does, real or not. Edit: looking at the picture again I can't believe I thought it was real
-
This already been posted? I think its lush if its real.

Anyone noticed that guy "Michael Caine" commenting on most of the NUFC related articles on the chron website? Hes absolutely bang on 100% of the time, everything he says is right.
-
Just asked him on twitter if hes signing for us, thought I'd put this to bed once and for all, will let you all know his reply
-
Krul will win them the shootout.

If this goes through the Debuchy money will be paying for this one, which leaves us down 6 million from the De Jong transfer, the question is who is going to bring us back even again? Don't want to do a Leeds, anyone else worried?
-
I'd like to think that anything below 10th would see him sacked because Ashley publicly sets targets - no way will "finish lower than last season" be one. If the position goes backwards after (hopefully) splashing the cash, Ashley will be livid. There's no Europa League excuse this time, it'll be cut and dry. But this is probably blind, naive optimism It is, but its all we have to cling to these days, I personally cant conjure up any sort of optimism, blind, naive or otherwise I remember when I used to be counting down the weeks till the start of the season now I'm just completely indifferent, sad times.
-
His contract will run out and he'll go back to France for nowt, Pardew will still be here as we'll scrape survival this season.
-
De Jong is 6 FOOT 1 you better believe hes playing up front struggling to get on the end of long balls.
-
Would be very surprised if we were to spend big on a striker if this deal does somehow go through.

"Imagine a player coming into training putting in half arsed effort, looking fat, short of breath and generally unfit and getting a game ahead of you? What sort of message does that send out to other seniors and especially younger squad members? That would show the club as having no discipline, the manager as letting players walk over him and the give the impression to the rest of the first team squad that hard work & development is not important. 100% correct decision not to play him until he sorts his act out. He's a tremendous player and one of my favourites, but it's not worth compromising the club for one player who seemingly, can't be arsed." "Starting any player in a game who potentially can't last 90 minutes due to fitness is a liability. That coupled with the fact that senior players feel it is unfair that someone who doesn't work, train and eat to the same level of them should receive the same benefits, makes it a no brainer to leave him on the bench until he takes his head out his arse and applies himself in a manner which warrants his wages and teammates commitment." Hmmmm

Didn't Marveaux play about 10 prem games in total in 12/13 and have the most assists in the entire team? Would love to have seen him get a proper chance but will never happen under this abortion of a manager.

Nt sure if serious, but if you meant me I was referring to the HBA situation not the squad number.

Ba was the best striker we've had since Shearer IMO. (Not that there's many great ones to choose from mind)
-
Santon at RB and Dummett LB for next season then
-
and then it will end with confirmation that Siem De Jong was that striker all along. http://www.themag.co.uk/the-mag-articles/alan-pardew-im-really-pleased-weve-managed-get-striker-early/ Something like this you say?
-
They will definitely take his number 10 off him and give it to Siem, its a perfect way to give HBA one last nudge out of the door. Wouldn't be surprised if these odious cunts signed him to do just that.

Jeff Winger tbh. http://www.virginmedia.com/images/Community-Jeff-590x350.jpg

"This summer may see De Jong on the move, with the player himself indicating that he is ready for a move. A transfer to the English premier league appeals, but he may also elect to join his brother Luuk in the Bundesliga. A frequent visitor to Monchengladbach to see Luuk in action, Siem has indicated a move to Germany may be his preferred option. First team football is a must for the attacker, who is eyeing up a place in the Dutch national squad for the upcoming World Cup. Coach Luis van Gaal called De Jong up for the recent World Cup qualifiers, but sees the Ajax man as a striker rather than a midfielder. This means he must compete with not only Klaas jan Huntelaar, Robin van Persie, and Dirk Kuyt for a place in the squad, but also his brother Luuk. Whoever does sign De Jong will be getting a technically gifted play-maker, adept now in midfield or in attack. His best position is still as an old fashioned number 10, who is allowed to float around behind the striker. At 6ft 1 he also adds a physical presence to midfield, helping him fend off tackles, as he strides forward. Although he has scored a number of goals, finishing is still an area of De Jong’s game that could be improved. This season, De Jong is one of the biggest shot takers, having attempted 89 in 32 appearances, but with only 11 goals to show for it. Something that needs to improve if De Jong is to become a regular forward. The sun is setting on Siem de Jong’s time in Amsterdam, but he will always be remembered as part of the most successful Ajax side of recent times. Potentially leaving with 3 Eredivisie winners medals, and a KNVB Cup success. Not bad for the man, known by many football, as the less talented brother of Luuk."

Again it will be a case of buying a highly rated flair player and the manager being unwilling and or unable to choose a system to fit him into.
-
The longer it goes without bringing in striking reinforcements the more I think we will just sign him back. Lets be honest Pardew would be absolutely delighted.
