  1. He wants more money (according to the Independent), not less... Thats according to the papers. Taking things at face value this would actually be a way to resolve the issue.
  2. At least we won't have to pay royalties to Billy Ray Cyrus any more.
  3. Contracts are flexible. Cisse should by himself out of the obligation if he's that arsed. Wonga should give that fee to a charity.
  4. Not a prerequisite to posting.
  5. http://i1.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article1366128.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/Cheick+the+frustration The root of all evil... Cheick Tiote could have a problem with promoting "legal loan shark" Wonga http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/newcastle-face-wonga-deal-revolt-1370793#ixzz2W10hfAcD That is actually the picture they used in the article along with the above caption.
  6. I just think if we are talking about mobility it ought to be borne in mind that last season he had fitness issues. I remember thinking he looked more sluggish than he had done previously on many occasions last season.
  7. If we could just sign a very quick forward to play wide in a front three of cisse ben arfa and A N Other then I think we would be capable of creating plenty. Fitness and depth is another issue altogether.
  8. I said Cabaye wasn't mobile enough a year and got exactly this reponse. He may cover very good distance but he's static on the ball, can't dribble, rarely makes the type of Sissoko runs we need to support the striker and is generally all used up by 70 minutes. Lovely footballer in a sense but I do think the PL isn't the least suited to him out of the big 4 leagues. Salient points. He arguably has the mobility to get into positions where he can hurt teams but the lack of movement in the team as a whole perhaps stops him from being able to occupy those positions. His inability to support the striker is perhaps down to his current quarterback role.
  9. Cabaye not mobile enough? In the 5th place season Tiote and Cabaye were meant to have covered the most distance per match IIRC.
  10. I guess if the club thought he was going to be competent but wanted to get him more experience it might make sense for us to deviate from our no loanee policy. We could get someone in for a season or a half season and allow Good to continue his education at a more appropriate level, without having to pay for a player.
  11. Is it possible Curtis Good will be taking his place next season? If so is he capable?
  12. Blooming heck, there are no words. What's the point of being a football club.
  13. Was reading on .com the other day that Cabaye played 18minutes of pre-season last year. One of our most important players. Dispute over an unpaid dental bill. Vintage NUFC.
  14. Yeah pretty much. Though it's becoming less and less a feature of the modern games managers must be allowed to manage. Its about the right person for the job. If Arsenal want to go down the experienced road then they shouldn't have a manager whose ethos is the development of young talent. I suppose Arsenal may feel that they may not be able to get anyone better for the job and therefore will stick with what is (at its highest) a poor fit. That said, if the experience point is true then they could have a manager better suited to the role.
  15. How many aimless chipped through balls in that time? completely forgot about those. You could literally see us routinely conceding goals by virtue of him being on the pitch. Crazy that he played so much.
  16. So you're telling me he said 'I want to sell Alan Shearer and replace him with Emile Mpenza'? I really don't remember that from his book, though i'll admit I read it a long time ago. I know he had coveted Mpenza for a while, but my recollection was that Liverpool made an approach to Shepherd for Shearer. At which point Robson made the Crown Jewel's comment. Being prepared to deal with the consequences of Shearer's sale is one thing. Actively wanting to sell him seems to be something of an overstatement.
  17. He wanted to replace him with Emile Mpenza, as has already been said. By yourself, I think you're wrong.
  18. Im pretty sure it was Bobby who referred to Shearer as like selling the Crown Jewels in his book.
  19. Aye, when you walk away from a relationship looking a bigger t*** than the footballer, you know you are s*** at life. Some of the s**** she spouted about being in a Hollywood film and such. Just... wow. Dunno what's worse: there's people who talk that s****, or that there's people that create a market for it http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm209/jazzence/Cocaine-Is-Hell-Of-A-Drug.gif
