    Jeff Hendrick

He is much better than Colback though. Think he'll do a decent job for us.
  2. I don't think he should be sacked, just saying his european record is a bit underwhelming
  3. After the glorious football City have provided us with over the last few years, one 'average for them but stunning for anyone else' season and you think the manager should go? Replaced with? Bruce, perhaps? Your comment is a joke..... If their goal is to win the Champions League it might be time to look elsewhere. It must be close to a billion he has spent at Bayern Munich and Manchester City with very little success in Europe.

    Transfer rumours

Hendrick is a decent player, always looked solid for Burnley when I've watched them. Decent, solid and a boring signing that likely won't improve our first team. Smalling is really good, would probably be our best centre back if he was to join.
  5. You're saying this as fact, rather than opinion. Depends who you believe of course. Which deleted account were you btw? Godzilla? Both the PL and buyer have said this - it’s about the only thing they both agree on. Staveley through her various interviews and the PL through their propaganda session just before PIF ‘withdrew’ claiming there was an impasse due to the make up of the organisations. Plus it’s also what I’ve heard, unofficially, and makes the most sense as legally the PL couldn’t reject the takeover based on the piracy. Can you put a link to where the premier league said this please? I’ve literally told you what happened in my post, the articles were all posted in this thread - go and read it yourself and join the dots up. Why whenever I ask posters like you (you know, the ones who "KNOW THIS IS ON") you always refuse to post the links to your facts? Because I work a full time job and don’t have the time/can’t be arsed to pull up the 5 or 6 articles which were posted at the time. Here’s one, by example: www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/07/27/newcastle-united-takeover-gridlocked-saudi-led-consortium-struggles/amp/ Fwiw, I’ve never said ‘I know it’s on’ - I’ve just posted the information I have which may or may not be relevant or true. I’m confident it is on, but the only people who ‘know’ are sat in PL headquarters. Ahh, I misunderstood. I read your post as it being the PL who had said it, which is why you were so certain. But actually it's Luke Edwards. That makes things much clearer. So you're basing your facts (opinions) on a story from Luke Edwards and some information put out by Staveley. Cool. And the 5 other articles all written at exactly the same time? Did Luke Edwards tell them? Or was the information from a source distributed to multiple journalists at the same time? Not sure why Staveley would be the source - she was furious by it. Not sure why Ashley would be the source - he nearly lost much needed investment. Who else is left?... Then ask yourself - why is it important for the PL to have MBS added as a director if it's nothing relating to piracy? Already been answered countless times - because the PL have concerns he will have control of (or major influence in) the club, which is against their rules as a state cannot own a club. Right, so they want it so they can reject it? So basically they have every right to be asking for this if it's going to be the case (you say it's easily solved) It is easily solved - assurances have been given that MBS will have no control. PL weren’t willing to accept that, but with the pressure now being applied, it is hoped that the PL will reconsider this stance and accept the assurances they have been given. He's the chairman of the public investment fund for fuck sake, stop deluding yourself. Sheik Mansour owns Abu Dhabi United Group, which owns 80% of Manchester City. What’s your point? The Abu Dhabi United Group isn't the investment fund of Abu Dhabi or the UAE.
  6. Agreed. Any public sympathy is going to disappear the second the media get a shot of some moron shouting abuse at Masters and his family. What public sympathy? The vast majority of football fans will be on the PL's side if only out of self interest. Agreed, I think most fans of other clubs are missing the distinction between wanting answers from the PL, and wanting the takeover to go through no matter what. The petition is for an explanation and answers. I think the vast majority of us want the takeover to go through no matter what, and I couldn’t give a flying fuck if someone launches a firework at Masters while he’s sat on the bog. Which I guess explains the lack of sympathy from the public or other clubs fans.

    Alan Shearer

    Absolutely class from Shearer
  9. Barcelona need the money badly. Income expected to be 60% down. Expect Real to be selling players as well, they've got big income issues of their own. Any particular reason for the drop in income?
  10. Also someone who delights in NUFC being shit, most likely while glued to watching Man City and Chelsea playing fantastic footy on Sky. What the fuck are you talking about?
  11. Anyone filed a police report against this Dan Harris character yet? Absolutely vile rhetoric.
  12. Never blow over for me, anything that any club wins now is done with the condition Newcastle's ambition was blocked, 2021-22 Champions Man City/Liverpool * * while only 6 clubs were allowed to compete. According to this logic, you'd still have to apply the asterisk if we were bought but change it to 7 clubs allowed to compete instead of 6, no?
  13. It's not really a closed shop at all is it? It's a closed shop to people who pirate PL games from a broadcaster who pays millions to show the games 100% correct. If they didn't pirate the games and hurt the financial bottom line of the PL then of course they'd be allowed in. That being said they have handled this whole process very badly. People on here acting like it's a big conspiracy to hold Newcastle down is a bit embarassing imo.
  14. So the issue is that PIF is not independent enough from the Saudi State? While that is true, wouldn't the same apply to Manchester City and UAE? Don't really see how our situation is different from theirs.
  15. I remember he had an absolute nightmare against Birmingham (?) in the FA cup when we lost 5-1 back in the day.
  16. Why do you not go and support another club then, as the only thing I have seen you contribute on within the footballing part of the forum is the takeover and your anti-thoughts on it. Do you have to support the takeover to support the club now? That seems to be the consensus on here anyway. You don't have to. But if you feel that strong toward Saudi owned Newcastle, then the only logical thing for you if the takeover is approved is to stop supporting Newcastle. Sadly it kinda feels like a logical choice, it won't be the same. I just hope it won't go through, I know I'm in the minority and i understand people disagreeing with that. Being in favour of the takeover, and defending Saudi Arabia is two different things though. I can understand wanting the takeover, but people on here defending Saudi Arabia is just baffling in my honest opinion. They really are horrible. To be honest, based off the general tone and content of your posts, you have never seemed to recognise that distinction If that's the case I apologize. But people were smearing Khashoggi and his widow fiancee earlier in the thread, when you do and say that, it's way beyond just being in favour of the takeover. I realize that that's of course a minority on here, and I was unclear in my replies earlier, as to whom i was referring to.

  18. Rompe isn't looking for balance, his aim is to pick out the extreme of a post and run with that. Twist it to fit his narrative. Nothing to see here apart from a terrible wum. My "narrative" is simply that Saudi Arabia is a horrible regime, and I want them nowhere near NUFC. That's how i genuinely feel about the matter, and I'm not trying to wind up anyone. Are there other horrible regimes? Yes. Is Qatar horrible? Yes, and I was against them buying Man City. Does that make Saudi Arabia any less bad? No. If the takeover goes through we will always be associated with Saudi Arabia, and I would absolutely hate that. I could go into detail as to why I dislike Saudi Arabia so much, but I won't bother, I've written too much about the matter as is, imo. Qatar didn't buy Man City not very good at stating factual things are you You're right, that's an absolute shocker from me! I meant PSG! I was against UAE buying Man City though, for what it's worth.

Well you contribute nothing else to the football section apart from your anti-takeover posts and even with that you get basic things incorrect. Feel free to correct me (unless it's the widow/fiancee debacle, then dont bother).
