  1. To be fair, I had a quick look at Arsenal's team photo just now and there's a few I could mistake for each other.
  2. Still hasn't signed an extension has he? Wenger I mean.
  3. Yeah that's a fair point. There's the feeling we're at the peak of where we can be right now and there's no desire to be better. It's like why not try and push on, but every suggestion has been that Europe isn't worthwhile, that we won't strengthen to cope with it. They need to pull something big out of the bag in the summer otherwise we will regress big time. It's impossible to stand still in football, you have to constantly look to improve.
  4. Who can be bothered? 9 games left, we'll do enough to ensure Villa don't catch us and we'll be happy with 9th. No drive to push on, a tough summer ahead of us and with a ready-made excuse in the form of the World Cup. How exciting it is now, we beat Palace and hope that Stoke beat Villa to stop them from catching us. Game in hand over Southampton for that coveted 8th spot too.
  5. Hmm, perhaps I'll have a change from Ready Brek in that case.
  6. Does sound pretty daft given he just smashed in a hat-trick, single handedly winning them a game that got them through to the next round of the Champions League, against the odds. Single handedly He scored a penalty,a free kick (which keeper should have saved) and a goal put on a plate for him by Rooney The goals got them through, he pretty much dragged them through to the next round. No one else looked as threatening.

I got that for my birthday and my Dad for Christmas, we're probably going to be attending in September or March next year, fantastic news to hear it's a good day. It's really good. Absolutely knackering though, they really put you through your paces and sort of set it up so that they can bollock you if they think you're slacking Lee's the more natural footballer of the two but Bez's movement is still great. Would like to have played with Pedro considering he's meant to be amazing at 5 a side type stuff. I asked Lee what he thought of Pardew and his only response was 'prick' He really didn't like Bellamy either.
  8. You end up having to replace them, either with another loan or buying anyways. It's good if it's someone like Remy but you ideally want a good shot at signing them at the end of it if they've performed well. Sunderland have loaned a fair few players the last few years and it's caused a lack of continuity for them.
  9. Jenkinson is decent. I could see it happening if we lost Debuchy but I'd rather we signed him permanently. Step down in quality either way, though.
  10. It's never as straight forward as people make out. Champions League quarters, 180 minutes of football, a lot can happen. A lot of mistakes to be made, plenty of magic to be produced between the first and last whistle.
  11. Bayern will pass it for passing sake and ultimately win by a few goals. Yawn. Hope Man United make a game of it.
  12. I remember people being happy that Carr had knocked him back.

What's he doing in there? Are we paying him soldiers wages?
  14. Me and Stifler watching this next to a collection of wankers wearing Man United shirts. Stifler has promised to dance on their table if Olympiakos score. Pics to follow.

    Shola Ameobi

If he is a fan, he can't seriously believe we are better with him in the side.

    Sol Campbell

It's nowt to do with race, more to do with managers wanting to keep star players happy. It's wrong but that's what happened. Campbell showed why he wasn't international captain material with his behaviour with Arsenal at WHU and the way he walked out on Notts County. A real leader.
  17. This secret footballer nonsense has probably been created by the media so they can talk crap whenever they want and not be at risk of lawsuits.
  18. I'm loathe to believe anyone who is too pussy to back what they say without the "secret footballer" mask.
  19. It's like being a loan shark and giving the guy who owes you thousands through gambling debts control of your multi million pound business. Pardew is here because Ashley or the people he trusts rate him. The bullshit gambling story really ought to have gone away by now.
  20. and the right amount of fan insight about football tactics. Pards could pull out his 8" notebook and Rachel would be gagging to swallow every bit. Now come on, we don't know if she gagged.
  21. Because nobody would be on their best behaviour when they had visitors.. Imagine the rage Pardew will have shown after she left, having bottled it all morning. The mad bastard.

    Loïc Remy

Basically what those guys said. We've acted small-time.
  23. I want us to do well in all competitions. Why isn't that an option to those in charge? You can have a cup run and do well in the league if you prepare right and your mentality is correct. It's an easy excuse at the moment for teams in the Europa League to then have a poor season. You have less time to prepare for matches but this is why you organise your team and your time effectively. We clearly don't.

    Loïc Remy

The moment he started scoring, was the moment I thought this lad isn't going to stay here. We'll probably sign our other on-loan striker, Luuk de Jong, as he isn't scoring although he has been decent in other areas of his game. We'll not sign anyone to replace Remy, we'll start using Gouffran as back up to de Jong and Cisse will start most games. Maybe Remy would have fancied staying here, playing in front of a big crowd in a beautiful stadium, but our behaviour since he signed on loan gives him little reason to stay unless we offer him the best terms. Which we won't. Looking at this from his POV, I'd think a year and a half in the Premiership, great scoring stats, 27 years old, my next move will be my last big contract. Why waste the latter years of my career with a club who have shown so little ambition during my stay?
  25. Really don't think it makes a difference either way if he's in the dugout or not. It's not as though he's an inspirational force or has his own particular style which he likes to remind the players of on matchday. It'll just be plod along as we have been and pick up points where we can. They could have gave him a 70 game ban and I wouldn't be bothered, we're not aspiring for anything. Pardew got his big-man moment in. Well done. We'll see you back at the Emirates and this mediocrity you've drilled into the club can continue.
