I disagree totally Jordan Henderson was 20 million before this new TV deal. Yes Cabaye wasn't at his best last season but nor was any other player. Why some of our fans are happy to see him sold on the cheap is beyond me Henderson isn't as bad as some on here make out. Nowhere near being worth £20m but he's English and Dalglish bought him so that explains that.

£14m after last season is probably on the high side. I think £20m is pie in the sky stuff but I still would have set that as my asking price. Wonder if there is any truth to us demanding a sell-on clause and a further few million over the next 2 years.

Wouldn't boo any player once they pulled on the black and white shirt. Say what you want about them during the week, full support on a matchday though. Would be incredibly counter-productive to boo when he could be pivotal to us getting 3 points today.

Pardew out, Kinnear steps in to "steady the ship" until we find a replacement. It is then deemed the job he has done is good enough to land the gig full time, no matter how poorly we do, and we drop this Director of Football idea.
-
Why are they selling their best player for such a low fee?
-
He's spent a fair bit of time playing full back. It's going to take a while to become accustomed to a central role, alongside a new partner, in a new league. Got a lot of faith in this lad.

Meanwhile you continue to ignore that Cabaye has wanted out all summer unlike those two. Unless you think Pardew and just about every French journo around are all lying its a totally different situation altogether. We know Fellaini wants out, not sure on Baines. Yet both continue to play. Rooney played Monday night and put in a good shift despite wanting out of Man United since well before the summer. Can't fault the professionalism of these players who realise they still have a duty to their current job who pays them lucratively.

Dictate that you son of a bitch.
-
Meanwhile, Fellaini and Baines continue to play for Everton despite 2 bids from Manchester United being rejected.
-
I don't think he'd entertain the idea one bit unless we bettered what Chelsea currently pay him.
-
Needs a bit of time to get used to playing in the middle in the Premiership in fairness.
-
You would hope, if true, that we wouldn't entertain the idea. I just don't know, though.

Jesus Christ what is Bale wearing? Surely he doesn't allow his sister to dress him anymore? Will she be going to Madrid also?
-
So now he's acting smug and not giving any comment, when before it was all about how fortunate we were he had a bad season last time out, otherwise clubs would have been wanting to sign him. What's the excuse for Cabaye last year now? Cabaye won't be fined. He's probably been asked if he's happy to go along with the leaked story regarding him going on strike. He'll toe the party-line as long as he gets his move. Pardew/Kinnear/Ashley, the whole set-up stinks and I don't trust anything any of them say. The closer to the end of the window this little saga goes on until, the better for them.
-
So what, this is the first meaningful thing he's done in his career for how long now? No doubt we'll have a witty tweet later on.
-
He's acting coy now, but he's been inviting this situation for months.
-
The atmosphere sounded quality. It won't be like that every game for them, but that was a huge difference. St James' just ain't what it used to be.
-
I'm chuffed for them and Bellamy. Play with pride and with a semblance of shape and you'll do alright.
-
I would hope we are giving interested clubs a deadline to meet our asking price, and I hope that deadline leaves us with enough time to recruit his replacement. Of course we're not.
-
£20m or nowt. He'd eventually get over it and start playing again, and he'll play well with the incentive of the World Cup looming. We need a squad, and if we sell Cabaye, we'd be left short. And with so little time left in the window, clubs will add an extra premium on the price of any centre mid we enquire about as they know our situation. And of course, we won't pay that.
-
It's just about getting into the referees head. You'll rarely see a player admit fault.
-
What has Cabaye done over the last 6 days? Has he been training?
-
If QPR sign Shola, they're absolutely crackers. He's here until his contract finishes, we should just ignore him and take the hit on the wages. It's going to be incredibly frustrating watching him play today. Yes, it's not his fault he's been handed contract after contract, and that the manager picks him.. But my God, the lad just isn't good enough.

Swap Gouffran in for Ameobi and that isn't a bad line-up.
