  1. Think the club needs to understand the reality that if we want to sign established players, we will have to pay huge fees to do so. So either we suck it up and pay up or we look elsewhere for value. We're currently rummaging around in the back of the yellow stickers fridge hoping to find a fillet steak that nobody else fancied for tea.
  2. I think it could be a bit more interesting at the bottom this year. Admittedly it's hard to tell at this stage in the transfer window, but with that caveat in mind: Wolves looked dogshit for a long part of last season and have already sold their best player. The board and fans seem to be at war with each other and it's not a happy camp. West Ham have been on a downward curve since winning the European competition and could do with a refresh. Brentford have lost their manager, it is widely expected that they will lose their two best forward players and Arsenal are already sniffing around their best midfielder. They will have to get it right woth the replacements and if they don't they will be in bother. On the other hand Man Utd won't have Europe to contend with this season so will be able to focus on survival. Mainly though, the promoted teams this year will be better than last year. There's no way any of the 3 will be as bad as Leicester were when we played them, not a chance. And Leicester didn't even finish bottom!! I still think these and Burnley will go back down, and hopefully Leeds as well. But it's not the foregone conclusion a lot of people are telling themselves it will be. For the mackems there's a lot resting on the first 5 games imo. They need to hit the ground running so making signings early in the window is a smart move.
  3. Fuck me, no wonder the mods are so nervous about the proposed new legislation. That's creepy as fuck that. "What, you have female offspring? Well go on mate, hoy a pic of her up so I can objectify her and probably worse."
  4. 😳😳😳 please tell me you've made this up.
  5. Didn't think play off finals were included in the CW membership. Unless they've changed it of course.
  6. Their hardman knacked by Keyfer Mewer
  7. Bunting made from bogroll
  8. Not too much wrong with the performance here. Poor finishing and in fairness their keeper has played well.
  9. If I knew we were to get a point today then Forest winning would be better than them drawing as gives them an even bigger incentive vs Chelsea and we would still finish above them with a draw vs Everton. Just please fucking win today and put us all out of this misery.
  10. There were twitter accounts old enough to know better convinced yesterday that a keeper handling his ball outside the box is an automatic red card and not understanding why the pundits were even discussing goalscoring opportunity or not. Not naming names but I was tempted to refer one to the copy of the laws which is kept on display at the Town Moor metro station.
  11. Call me cynical but I think the penalty call gets overturned if the handball incident didn't happen. Like they realised afterwards (or were told) that they'd messed it up.
  12. Aye. Kicked off whenever they perceived the local media weren't treating them as our equals, yet celebrated drawn derby games as moral victories.
  13. Agree. Thought it was suicidal tactics. Take the game by the scruff of the neck, get the crowd up and they'd potentially have had it sewn up by halftime. Allowed Cov to get a foothold and in turn to dominate the 2nd half. Didn't watch extra time so can't comment on that tbf.
  14. Fuck am I bothering with 30 more minutes of this.
  15. These have been woeful tonight.
  16. Wouldn't want our keeper raising his arms like that with the ball in play. What a tit.
  17. Nowts each aal ower this
  18. If Coventry were to go up I think they'd lose all 38 league fixtures and I'm not even joking. They're gash.
  19. Not sure why they're making such a big deal out of it when it's such a normal everyday occurrence for them. I mean, going off the attendance figures that's what they sell for most home games right?
  20. Seeing it again I'd probably not give a red. Moore feels contact and goes down like a sack of shite rather than being pulled down like it first looked.
  21. Aye, I can see why the ref has given a red card there.
  22. Would be hilarious that. Just like Leeds pretending they have won a European Cup but infinitely more smalltime.
  23. Two really well-matched teams although we've done well in the head-to-heads recently. Feels more "must-win" for them than us given the league table. It's also the start of a massive week where they play Man City and a cup semi-final. I'm also guessing they will be pumped up for it given their perceived injustice regarding Boxing Day. My main concern would be managerial decisions in-game where I'd back Emery's experience to get the better of Tindall as the game unfolds. I'm pleased that Joelinton is available as he'll be crucial in the midfield battle, but right now I'd say a point and a couple pints in the Wellington/Post Office Vaults would represent a very satisfactory trip to Brum.
