So, despite him not deserving the sending off (according to Poyet), Sunderl4nd wont be appealing 'Catts red card. Well I never.

Gabbiadini is tragic on TS tonight.... trying to defend Catts.... Mohammedy should have got an Oscar for acting, but saying Johnson didn't roll around at that late tackle by Brady.
  3. Not sure how many took them, but the time4change group were giving out copies of the front cover on its own, before the match (seen it on their FB page), on behalf of The Chronicle. https://www.facebook.com/mikeashleyoutcampaign

Just hope they don't manage to pull off a result, as they have against them in recent seasons.

You gotta love the irony - in their opinions, anyone from Durham (or basically south of the Tyne) who supports Newcastle are all 'plastic mags'. Yet these lot can have 'Red and White Geordies'. Can't wait to see a 'Black and White Mackems' banner.... actually, yes I can.

I thought it was 3 for any straight red, except where its for a 'professional foul', like Mbiwa against Liverpool? Cattermole was 2nd yellow card. Ah right... on MOTD it looked like the ref just pulled the red, not a 2nd yellow, then red. EDIT: See others saying it was straight red, too.

  9. ^ This. whilst he may not appear to be the typical captain, i.e. shouting, organising, etc, being made captain appears to have made him concentrate on his job more, and as mentioned not go flying in like an idiot. He seems to be relishing the responsibility - and as long as it continues, he should keep the armband IMO, even in Coloccini's return.

Not on MOTD afterwards, but they did highlight him appearing to say to Bruce 'thats a bad one' at the time.

cattermoles reaction swings it, he's up and walking off almost before the ref has the card out Just watching MOTD now, and was just gonna say that.... he was heading off before the card came out... he knew. And Dossena.... oh dear. Just realised.... Harper was in goal for Hull, too!!
  12. bit hard for sky to show it since its on BT Hehe... oops... Aye, I meant, erm, BT, like.
  13. I hope there are a sizeable number in the crowd with the front page, holding it aloft. Be interesting to see whether Sky show it, or even make mention.
  14. Hope so, but they may fear being banned too. Tyne Tees news touched on it (mentioned the team moving on from 'media bans & fan forums'), but appear to be brushing over it, on the Sports Bulletin.
  15. Said it at half time, Sky had been given special access, and in return said nothing but good things about the club with no mention of the local media issues. Made a lot of sense for the club to keep them onside to be fair. Sadly, its probably gonna take the likes of Sky and the national media generally to turn on him to really hike up the pressure - but cannot see that happening. Just gotta hope the fans at games can really turn up the volume with the anti-Ashley singing, and NCJMedia can find something, and have the balls to publish it about him/his running of the club.
  16. So does that mean revenue from the 'Official NUFC Club shop' website is now going to SD.com??
  17. Sorry if its already posted, but this was on Total Sports FB page today... Happy Halloween!!

    Alan Pardew

Similar to last season really, with the Europa League - he always dropped a number of key players for the early rounds, but still blamed tiredness if/when those same dropped players didn't perform in the following league matches.

Is there any situation where any of those teams might play each other? Maybe its fine if the countries competitions wont clash, but the likes of English and Scottish teams, which could play each other in European Competition (however unlikely it might seem at present), may block that. Salzburg vs Leipzig could clearly happen. Only Germany/Austria. Very similar to us and Rangers in fact, one in top division and the other low down in their respective country divisions. Fair enough, but I still wonder what the 'dual ownership' issue is that Charles Green spoke of at the time, in the Daily Mail article above? He mentions the 'football league' but not sure if that's in Scotland or England, or both.

Thought it was the same country, hence Red Bull owning clubs all over and that Inter Milan fella owning an MSL team too. From Wiki (so might not be fully up to date), but these are the football teams currently owned by Red Bull: Is there any situation where any of those teams might play each other? Maybe its fine if the countries competitions wont clash, but the likes of English and Scottish teams, which could play each other in European Competition (however unlikely it might seem at present), may block that.
  23. Long term it HAS to be fat Ash, short term I wouldn't be against getting rid of symptoms. Ashley's the cancer, Pardew's just a tumour, cut out the tumour, then blitz the cancer iyam. Agree with this ^ Even if Ashley remained as owner, he could do a lot of good simply by employing better people to run the club for him. people with the knowledge of running a football club, which isn't necessarily like any other business. Then employ better management of the team, which could produce better results on the pitch, and still not require signifigant expense on new players, if he still wants the club to be 'self sufficient'.

I found this and posted in another thread yesterday, from Daily Mail when he was first buying into Rangers.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2220289/Mike-Ashley-permitted-buy-Rangers-stake--Charles-Green.html Also this... http://www.inbrief.co.uk/football-law/dual-ownership-of-football-clubs.htm Unclear whether that means in same country/competition though, or any other club.
