So if we finish top 5 (CL) or 6th (EL), what happens to our current ECL place... does that go to a league placing?
-
Oooof... Its a desmond at the city groond
-
Dunno like. The thought of that clogger Ryan Yates playing in the CL
-
Would love UEFA to invoke some clause where teams that win the EL but finish below a Certain league position/points, DON'T qualify for the CL. Would serve them right for throwing league matches in favour of the EL once they weren't in danger of going down.

Just seen Ramsay was sent off for Villa yesterday, but Mings elbowed someone and broke his jaw, and wasn't. Any chance he could be hit with a retrospective ban for it?
-
Be nice if Liverpool actually turn up later on, and beat Arsenal ahead of us playing them next. Would be an unreal season to win a cup and finish 2nd!!!
-
Straight red, the yellow cancelled.

Les Ferdinand & Owen Hargreaves on my river saying Tonali 'lucky' with the finish, and 'didn't hit it cleanly', and 'comes off his heel'. Dunno, looked perfectly intentional to me, to hit it into the ground, so keeper cannot do anything.
-
Good first half, but we have to keep it up and make the extra man count in the 2nd. Burn needs to be careful... as soon as he put his arm on Neto, I feared him going down and Burn potentially off.

Hahaha, my river is about 2mins behind. That leyd dinnit last long, Marra.

Bewked. Keep at him, Sakamoto.

Anthony Flapperson, TBH.

Howay Coventry! Do it for Jimmy, and Killer, and Quinny.......and Darren Huckerby!!!!!

As the reply above, seems under the FA rules, the crest is a material change, and there are certain rules on the vote for change, the club seemingly haven't done.... one of which would be an option for no changes.
-
The supporters Trust have written to the club about this change, and the survey they put out (not a ST holder or Paid Member, so haven't seen to myself). They seem to suggest the survey is a bit one sided, and doesn't include a 'No change' vote or option.

I re-read what the article says.... Based on what we've heard, updates to the current club crest should be minimal and therefore Refine & Revive is our recommended approach. We've spoken to our Fan Advisory Board, now we want to hear from you. What should stay the same? What needs to be updated? And how can we embrace our history - not just by honouring it, but by preserving its spirit and building on it, so we can thrive in the years ahead? Sounds like the recommended approach of 'Revive & Refine' has come from the initial talks with the FAB. But subject to what comes back from supporters, that could change if the response was for radical change. However, from what I've seen online so far, it seems fans want limited changes (if any).

Next Sunlun badge will definitely have 'FTM' on it somewhere, marra.

Worrabout that guy punching a seahorse instead of a policehorse?

From that Twitter thread. If we did go for a refresh of the current badge, making it easier to reproduce but still 'simplified' in places, I think what Ash Willerton came up with is cracking.... But I certainly wouldn't be against a Man City style rebrand, and something very similar to the late 70s badge.... Keep it colour for the home kit, but I think that would still work in Monotones too, for the change kits. Maybe just have 'NEWCASTLE UNITED' and drop the football club bit. Maybe add the formation date instead?

Actually, that one would work well with the fuzzy edge to the stripes on next seasons home shirt.
