  1. 1-0. Should've done more, these turks aren't exactly great. Oh well, let's see in da Luz...
  2. Fener scores from a non existing corner. Ref is being the mvp.
  3. Meireles injured. What a shame.
  4. Cardozo would've scored. Give us one mr. ref
  5. Cup tied. Came from Atletico in January I believe. Thanks Rich. I'd gladly take a draw, in Estádio da Luz should be way easier.
  6. Fenerbahce: Demirel, Korkmaz, Yobo, Gonul, Ziegler, Topal, Meireles, Cristian, Kuyt, Sow, Webo Benfica: Artur, Maxi, Jardel, Garay, Melgarejo, Matic, André Gomes, Ola John, Salvio, Aimar, Cardozo Gaitan and Rodrigo, out. Pablo Aimar and Cardozo in.
  7. Basel: Sommer, Joo Ho, Degen, Dragovic, Schär, Die, Stocker, Frei, Salah, Elneny, Streller. Chelski: Čech, Ivanović, Cole, Luiz, Terry, Azpilicueta, Ramires, Lampard, Hazard, Torres, Moses.
  8. Europa League today. Turkey, 50.000 crazy fans + Meireles, the cunt. Possible line-up: Artur Maxi / Jardel / Garay / Melgarejo André Gomes / Matic Salvio / Gaitan / Ola John Rodrigo Luisão (minor injury), André Almeida (suspended) and Enzo Perez (suspended) are out. We'll try to be the first team from Iberian Peninsula to concede less than 4 goals in this european week.
  9. Gaitan is a genius. Unfortunately he's still very inconsistent.
  10. Lisbon derby day. Luz sold out, expected 63k.
  11. Apparently we (Benfica) are following Saleh Gomaa, an Egyptian midfielder. Supposed to be a great prospect, linked to Manchester some days ago. Won the MVP at the African Under-20 championship last month. First I thought was Salah (Basel) we were interested in.
  12. I know Kovacic moved to Inter but who else? I just thought they had a long history tbh with the likes of Boban and Simic etc. Kovacic, Marko Livaja, Radosevic, Ante Vukusic and Petkovic. All of them very young and quite good in FM Plus Igor Budan, who's playing there for many years so wouldn't make sense to include him in this list.
  13. Reading this thread. Delayed response. Really liked how his team were so aggressive but still passed the ball low in the penalty area. It did cross my mind as well. According to him, everytime a player leaves the team he tells them "you're not going to a bigger club but yes, you're going to earn more money". Since he is getting 4M€/season, making him the best paid person in the club (including players) I believe it will be difficult for him to leave. Two ways: A. He loses everything in the last games and our president doesn't renew his contract (expires this season). B. He gets offered a salary higher than 4M€ a year. But yea, he's good. Mourinho, Villas-Boas, Jesus, the top3 portuguese managers.
  14. Finished 3rd in Portuguese league (Braga) last season. This year was easily dominating the Greek league, 17 games, 14W, 3D. Also made 9 points in the CL group stage (Arsenal 10, Schalke 12), which is quite good for a Greek team. Was fired anyway. So yea, that's the unofficial, not confirmed, atleast yet, version. Mourinho did something similar in Porto and was threatened by the main fan group, Super Dragões, because he was texting one of their leaders wife.
  15. Leonardo Jardim could be a good choice. Can play defensively but not in a negative "let's hope for a miracle" way. Fired from Olympiacos nobody knows why, rumour has it he made love to the chairmans wife. Never a good way to keep the job. Portuguese managers are quality. From the list above, I would go for the french guy. Impressive season.
