Kaiz is mostly right but think it might be more of a Norway problem than a football problem. Loads of old as fuck players like Dzeko, Modric, Perisic still playing for their countries when their and their teams' best days are behind them
-
I feel like being abysmal for your national team in a major tournament year should count against you quite a bit like
-
Apparently TAA said in an interview last week that he'd prefer to win the Ballon d'Or than the World Cup. Insane
-
Late to the party but this criticism of Arsenal for last weekend is absolutely insane
-
Was at one of the games last season and it was great. Juan Mata and Douglas Costa to add to it this season Sydney badly needs a smaller stadium though. Any game across 3 sports I've been at in the Allianz has been 2/3rds full at best.

Its a bit shit selling your soul to the Saudis just to be a club that finishes 3rd to 8th in the PL
-
Cool that more older footballers seem to be still playing international football these days, just saw Dzeko scored for Bosnia, Lewandowski still playing for Poland and Modric still playing for Croatia
-
Enjoying this. Gordon is the difference

Not that the FAI are any good but Roy Keane being bitter at not getting the job when he hasn't managed in 15 years is hilarious

52k is a lot for the second team in a city of 500k people

Had no idea Madueke is English. Makes the Wolves thing even funnier

Europe's quite a big place. English refs regularly embarrass themselves in Europe too
-
Chelsea are going to get a points deduction this season according to journos I heard on a PL preview last week
-
Surely we should do the exact opposite of "go for it" if that happens
-
Think Alvarez will be great for them. Typical tenacious Atletico forward
-
Would be a great move for the US
-
That's what I mean. They play so ponderously because none of their midfielders can pass the ball well enough
-
Think a lot of the problem remains that English midfielders like to run around the place like box to box players rather than playing with more patience and guile. International football isn't played at 100 miles an hour. Xhaka got clowned in England for years but the reason Switzerland play above themselves is because he knows how to control the tempo and break the line with his passing or just play simple passes and slow it down when he needs to.

Don't think Guardiola thinks of himself as Spanish tbf
-
If he wants to play they're not dropping him like Think he'll probably retire. Thought him crying when he came off was because of that
-
No bad players have won 6 though

Mad to win that many Champions Leagues while not being able to defend apparently
