  1. Just seen the Hull penalty again. Sorry like but that is the clearest penalty you'll see. Don't know what the idiots on SSN were looking at
  2. As taxfree said, he put his arm up with the intent of protecting his face from the ball. As clear a penalty as you'd see. It was one of few handballs that you could actually argue was intentional
  3. Clear penalty not given for Hull
  4. Apparently he eats Berocca raw. Strange man. Love the ramble me
  5. Kouyate is the kind of player that you watch every once in a while and think is class but must be very inconsistent
  6. I presume it's that Warnock hasn't been charged yet, not that he isn't going to get charged
  7. I think he's awful. Every time I see him play he's poor. Not sure what people see in him and they obviously do as he's played for some top teams but then so did Aaron Winter. His decision making is poor. His heading is poor. His shooting is poor. Never been quick. He's now basically Juve's Gouf! Haven't seen them enough in the league to comment but he has done a brilliant defensive job in the CL recently IMO. He's just so much stronger than most players that play on the flanks and very disciplined as well I would've had a similar opinion to you about him as a striker though aye.
  8. Spurs are the epitome of being a squad more than a team, like. More than any other team in the league imo, they have two great or very good quality players for every position, except for Sissoko who obviously cost them £30m I dunno about that, to be honest. The fullback positions certainly, and Dier can cover a lot of places, but actually they lack depth at striker, CB and out wide. I'd argue that they're more of a fantastic functioning team than having great strength in depth. Think our depth at CB is pretty good tbh - Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Dier, then Wimmer and Cameron Carter-Vickers, with Davies and Wanyama capable of stepping in in an emergency. You can't really quibble too much with that. Striker is an obvious issue, although I still have hopes that Janssen will develop into the role. Other than that, it's only really Son. Wide - well it depends upon what you mean. Our true wide players are the full-backs, and we've arguably got the best group in the league. If you mean wingers, then it's N'Koudou, Lamela, and Son - but we don't use wingers. Main problem is that Lamela has missed the entire season. Wimmer is a shocking footballer IMO
  9. Making Mandzukic a really effective left winger has to be up there in terms of coaching/managerial achievements on the actual tactical side of things
  10. Pace & finishing ability are too pretty big tools he's missing, based on what we've seen so far in a Newcastle shirt. He's a good finisher. Well, he has been. I suspect he might come good again too. Still young as well. A good finisher Even his most loyal of fans admit he's a terrible finisher man
  11. You can't build a team to consistently challenge for the top four in one season anyway. Even if you have unlimited money it takes 2 to 3 seasons and you will likely still have big weaknesses
  12. Why is Ajax-Lyon on tonight?
  13. Should have ice hockey style pens
  14. Don't see the point. Sendings off ruin most games
  15. One of these things is not like the others...
  16. A bit of extra luck, mainly. It's abundantly clear that you have a better chance if you don't have to worry about Europe, like Leicester and then Chelsea. Then you factor in injuries (which may be connected to the lack of Europe) - Leicester and then Chelsea again. There's the perennial argument that we might be missing that one truly world-class attacker or midfielder - Sanchez, Hazard, Aguero (?). Bottom line, we're really bloody good all round. If we win out, we end up with just one point less than the "Invincibles" managed (with more goals scored and a far better goal difference). And we probably still finish second. Frankly, that's just bad luck. as i said last weekend i think i do wonder what your season might have looked like if you'd spent £30m on a footballer (or 2) instead of sissoko Probably roughly the same tbf. Doubt they'd get a player that would be guaranteed to significantly improve them for £30m
  17. Spurs will be like the new Dortmund without the success at the start bit
  18. Tbf that article could have exaggerated how much "agony" he was in. If he really was in agony then I think it was a bad move
  19. Those kind of players cost loads though and most of them aren't that good
  20. Not true like. He came in against QPR, scored and assisted...was dropped. Scored 4 in a week against Preston and was dropped. Gayle has rightfully been number one but the above is bollocks. He likes one up top and that was Gayle. So why has Murphy started ahead of him in some games in Gayle's absence?
