  1. Aye.. ridiculous for people wanting him to return. I've no idea why he's so highly rated with some of our fan base other than 'he's a geordie' Its nothing to do with being a Geordie. It is something to do with scoring 20 goals in League 1 as a teenager. Lots of people seem determined to write him off more than the other way around
  2. Reminded me a bit of Elliot against Everton last season that Darlow mistake
  3. Some lovely play from Ayoze in those highlights. Seemed to get lots of time on the ball mind
  4. Aye, unreal connection Let me guess, it was a header? Nah kind of half overhead kick/flying volley kind of thing
  5. Think we could regret not going in for Daryl Horgan. No transfer fee, low wages and man of the match in his first game against Brighton today apparently
  6. The good old days. http://4c2lgc59e181vuma1n9bmo1c.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/assets/steve-mcclaren-mouth-open-newcastle-united-nufc-650x400.jpg
  7. Got 15 Premier League goals in his time there in 64 games, only 27 starts though but don't know how the goals break down between starts and sub appearances
  8. Difference between the top six and the rest is massive
  9. Are the leagues in China governed by FIFA? If so they need to put a stop to this (i.e. wage cap) as it's just getting out of control. I cannot blame these players for going as the money being offered is on another level. But if something isn't done the best leagues in the world are going to be ruined by this. Awful suggestion like, nee offence
  10. Alright there Paul Merson How have you come to the conclusion I know nothing of Hull's manager? And refer back to what Joey said for my response to the Swansea situation. Not sure how either of the new managers can be considered less competent than Mike Phelen and Bob Bradley like You do half talk some s*** sometimes, usually just for attention. Not that I rate Bob Bradley but how is Clement considered more competent than him based on what we've seen of both? One would presume that a chap who has been retained by one of the better managers around (I wont use the term 'best' as it's quite individual), at some of the biggest clubs in the world is reasonably competent. He also has a very good reputation from nearly every single person that has spoken about him (from players, to pundits and other managers). Add that into the fact that he was very harshly sacked in his only managerial appointment somewhat prematurely and you get a good idea. Each to their own, I think they've made a major improvement and have given themselves every chance of surviving in what was a very limited market for them to find a manager. Loads of top class assistants working with brilliant managers completely fail as managers

  12. That's class, the brummie post. Class act
  13. Seems to have been a nice man and had some outstanding achievements at club level. Was on Irish radio quite a bit and I always enjoyed listening to him. RIP
  14. South America is the most competitive one and gets no increase ffs
  15. Chile one is better Was Vidal not on the list?
  16. Still think 20m for Cairney is way over the top. Oh aye it is. Just not comparing like with like
  17. Yesterday there were reports that there would be penalties for drawn group games That's such a bad idea
  18. Swansea wanted to get rid of Shelvey though
  19. Didn't see any of them complaining when Gary Neville got a job with one of the biggest clubs in Spain with much worse credentials
  20. Of course he is, just as an outfielder is entitled to challenge for a 50-50. He shouldn't be exempt from sanction if he misses the ball and catches the man just because he's a keeper. Agree with this. Same when a keeper jumps with a knee chest height. Should be free to do it, but if he crashes into a striker taking him out which happens a fair bit, it should be dangerous play and a pen Imo. Like Neuer on Higuain in the last World Cup Final
  21. Aye and it's not like he has a good shot on him to cut inside
  22. Fairly sure that was a pisstake
