Glenn Whelan is a resilient fucker

Imran and his brother Declan RTG seems hilarious tbf

Gonna be a sad time when Garth and Lawro retire
-
Both are easy enough to hide, there's been plenty of top defenders are not very good in either of those departments. Not too many top centre backs around atm that aren't very comfortable on the ball
-
Bruce is class at this level
-
But if we didn't get promoted Rafa wouldn't be doing a good job anyway so still don't know why you'd pick that scenario. Irrelevant though tbh because we are getting promoted whether we win a cup or not

Lovely ball by Traore

Is he like 2 weeks old? I honestly think he's best ever 2 play in prem I feel for you man. I'd laugh in the face of anyone who said that to me, as fantastic as he is. Suarez was way better and that was only a few years ago
-
De Bruyne's the one that came to mind immediately, but I don't think it's been long enough to say for certainty. I miss the quality we used to have tbh. Suarez in particular, as much of a prick as he was. Trying to think of players who were genuinely world class for a period in the Prem in the last 10 years (since Shearer retired and Henry left) that haven't been mentioned. Ronaldo, Suarez, Bale, Ashley Cole, Lampard, Gerrard, Torres (briefly), Scholes, Giggs, Drogba (?), Rooney (?). Might be overrating some of those and may have missed out someone really obvious Not sure about Giggs based on just the last 10 years. The rest is probably fair enough but then again "world class" is a very vague term

Class start from Atletico. Nice goal by Carrasco

Did Sky sack the guy who used to read out all the results on Soccer Saturday? Its just Stelling doing it now
-
Fair play to Mitro on his form but how exactly do you make out that he is the key component considering he doesn't start most of the time
-
Mentioned this before but the reason some people strongly dislike him is as a reaction to other people's over the top hero worship of him. I'd like to think I'm somewhere in the middle of the two ends but I understand why people don't like him. Both sides of the argument react to things way over the top like. I personally will reserve judgement on him until we get back into the Premier League as I think he's clearly a very good player at this level
-
Check my contribution a few posts up how to say basically the same thing diplomatically without upsetting local lad fans. You don't have to be a fan of someone to hope they aren't seriously injured ffs
-
Argentina should've beat them. My memory was they weren't that good other than the Brazil game but could be wrong
-
Even if he doesn't make it here, the last year and a half have been a total embarrassment from some like. It's not often you get a player who clearly genuinely cares like he does yet some are desperate for him to fail. I'm not even sure why he's barely put a foot wrong other than Spurs. I don't think he cares any more than most of our players

His lack of pace and poor finishing in general wasn't a myth ffs Lack of pace, no - but some people describing him as if he runs through glue is a myth aye. Poor finishing? He's started two games this season (Cheltenham not included as he was off the pitch with a knock to the head) and scored three goals... Terrible finishing. Anyone know his conversion rate this season? I'd stab a guess that it's higher than Perez, Gayle and Diame. Ignoring last season then which is when everyone was judging his poor finishing on? Didn't say that at all, but we judge a player based on the current form do we not? Is Vardy a shit player because he scored next to fuck all in his first season in the Premier League? Or is he allowed the opportunity to adjust to a new level? Well he hasn't played enough this season to judge whether his finishing has improved. He's not a shit player either way like

Tbf it's easy to take a penalty when you're up 3-0. No pressure It was only 2-0 at the time mind and Mitrovic took a pressure penalty against Man Utd and Norwich last season Aye sorry 2-0 but game over at the time either way. It wasn't a slight against Mitrovic, just that it's easy to "step up" to take a penalty when the game is over so no point reading anything into it

Fair play to him on the two goals. Looked a bit quicker as well which was encouraging. On a slightly related note, I'm finding it difficult to actually know how to rate the players in our team, just seems too easy for even the lesser players at this level like Gouff, Colback, Dummett is even making an impact going forward

Terrible thing to say We've had 'fans' on here calling for career threatening injuries for him before, that's tame man. Aye the hate is a bit OTT
