  1. Rafa will eventually leave and the next appointment will tell an awful lot

Rubbish. He's being given the opportunity to show what he can do at this level when he probably wouldn't even make the bench here once everyone is fully fit. I think there's potentially a very good finisher in this lad but he has to show he can do it before we will take any chances. He got 18 goals in league 1 last season and didn't get any kind of chance this season. We're probably going to get promoted this year and it will be the exact same situation again. Doubt he'll ever get a real chance barring an injury crisis at some stage in the future If we are promoted and have top class strikers playing for us instead then why does it even matter? If Rafa thinks he is good enough he would be playing Well I prefer when clubs and managers give young players a chance especially when they clearly have some talent but I guess that's all a matter of personal preference
  3. Loads of cloggers play important roles in promoted teams

  5. It's like most of the stuff vented on this player, driven mostly by resentment and lack of reason. This is why it is such a relief to have a class manager like Benitez making the decisions now. I trust his judgement implicitly. Agree. At last we finally have a manager prepared to stand up to this egotistical pr!ck and is making him train on his own. No he isn't, he wants to keep him so badly that he will only accept an offer if it is an astronomical offer. He's a "very professional" player in the words of Rafa
  6. Aye never understood it either. Why would he choose for example to have his best game of his NUFC career against Norwich in a random 3 o clock Saturday game? It's clear when targeted by the other team and space around him is restricted that he is severely limited, but it's not to do with not trying. He was put left back in games last season and did well and never complained once and was given the captaincy by Rafa for our most important stretch of the season, not a hope he's a massive disruptive influence as some like to say It was a 4pm Sunday game. Live on Sky. Fair enough, assumed it was just a normal Saturday game

Hope he does well but I fear he's never going to get a chance here no matter how well he does
  8. David Luiz is class most of the time, which is obviously pointless for a centre half but a manager like Conte could sort out the mistakes

  10. Yup, sure sounds like $35M to me . I mean, he's good at what he does He's very effective when he can be arsed. It's just been very often. For 30million or whatever he should probably learn to strike a ball mind. Aye like just saying he has pace and power and fuck all else doesn't really do him justice when he's basically impossible to stop when you give him space to run into
  11. Benfica at home in the Europa and Leicester at home last year (Vardy's goal) spring to mind proving Moussa's lack of any defensive knowledge. The Vardy goal was nothing to do with lack of effort or bad positioning, he just got done by Vardy's dribbling. Also 3 examples in 3 years proves fuck all, especially when one of them was in a game where he got about 4 assists
  12. Benteke cost £27m after he horribly failed at his club, Bolasie, who I actually rate £25m, John Stones nearly £50m, Wijnaldum £25m, Batshuayi £33m, Sane £37m, Ibe £15m. Sissoko is easily worth £25m in the current market and we don't need to sell which should drive that up to £30m if we do sell Aye as I said we should be getting more but there's not exactly a coherent price nowadays, it's just players going for random amounts all over the shop. Anything approaching £30m for Sissoko is a hilariously bad buy. On his performances for us yes but he's more suited to playing for a better team anyway where he doesn't have as much responsibility for creating chances like when he plays for France
  13. Thought bigger clubs would be after him

  15. £18 - £20m is not a good price for Sissoko
  16. yep. Are you me from 3 weeks ago!? Crucified for that exact comment You have serious mental problems
  17. The reason being Glasgow is a fucking shit place to live and Greece isn't?

Agreed in terms of winning, disagree in terms of having a decent go at a tournament. Well aye you should be beating Iceland, but quarter finals of Euro's/2nd round of World Cup would be pretty decent for your squad

Don't think you have good enough players no matter who is manager tbh
  20. The environment was not right for them in that they were in the Premier League and now they're in the Championship
  21. We controlled the game from start to finish and never looked in any danger of not winning it. We didn't though. They controlled the middle part of the game and missed a sitter

    Daryl Murphy

Armstrong isn't going to get a chance anyway. He didn't even get a minute yesterday and that was with probably our 3 most favoured strikers unavailable. I think it's a bit shit tbh that he isn't going to get a chance but I guess Rafa doesn't put much emphasis on playing younger players
