  1. Mitrovic and Cisse up front is clearly our best chance of scoring goals
  2. Nice coincidence that they announced major news the day after being accused of doping
  3. Because they are actually in play, of course you're going to get lucky goals but even in those situations you've usually done at least something good in an actual game play situation that made sure you were in the right place to get lucky. A penalty isn't replicated at any other time in a real game situation
  4. Don't know if it's a direction from Rafa but he isn't running with the ball at all the last few games which makes him basically worthless as an attacking player
  5. Tap ins show that a striker can get into the positions to score easy goals, it's one of the most important things for a striker to get into a position to score tap ins. Penalties are just a free chance to score from 12 yards and nothing at all to do with how good a striker is Yeah, penalties have a 100% success rate and have nothing to do with any kind of skill, composure or technical ability Yes because I said those things. It's a free shot under no pressure with just a goalkeeper to beat from 12 yards. It's a shot that will never be replicated in actual gameplay and doesn't reflect how good a striker someone is But tap ins, are fine? Because they always show good movement or that he can get into a good position? What about deflected shots, that were on target, take them away as well? It's not always the case. But good, composed penalty takers, are often good finishers or prolific scorers. I don't see why they should be discounted from goal totals. A player that consistently gets tap ins clearly has good movement, and that's the most important thing for a striker. A deflected shot generally is a shot on target that gets deflected so again it's either a decent shot in the first place or you got into a decent position by good movement. I just don't think taking a good penalty has that much to do with being a good footballer. The best tactic for hitting a penalty is probably low and hard to a corner I'm sure you'd agree, a lot of the best players try to place it instead like they would in an actual match situation and as a result aren't great penalty takers, Messi, Suarez, Neymar as examples. I don't think that makes them a worse or better footballer either way Edit: No pressure from opposing players is what I meant by no pressure, should have been clearer

Yes

  8. [emoji38] He still put the penalty away. Well obviously but I'm not going to base how good a striker is on scoring a penalty

  10. I don't think penalties should be counted in goalscoring tallies if you really want to judge a player based on them
  11. He's ridiculously greedy is my main fault with him, he's the main reason Janmaat has been so ineffective going forward lately IMO as he doesn't link up with him much at all like Sissoko did. Still a pretty dangerous player though

    Papiss Cissé

Was Cisse actually offside once on Saturday? I know he got called wrongly a few times but was he actually ever offside?
  13. 7 points clear. Surely they've got to win it now
  14. They just do the simple things remarkably well, and all of their attacking and midfield players have brilliant movement and energy, and the bit of class with Vardy and Mahrez
  15. Premier League champions flags being sold at Leicester

    Papiss Cissé

He played up front with Ba for at least half his goals when he first signed. Nope. Vast majority Ba was out left. Ba and Cisse are both goalscorers though so don't really complement each other like Mitro should in theory
  17. Some dickhead fan just text into MOTD 2 extra that we'd be midtable if we had Pardew. Thankfully Kilbane didn't go along with it
  18. Has loads of faults and about one good attribute. That one good attribute is good enough for him to be one of our most dangerous players though
  19. More surprised Hunt is still playing. Him and McClean are basically the same player

    Papiss Cissé

Siem deserves it more than this waster. He might but the only way we're going to score is having two proper strikers up front. Don't know how anyone can debate that given what happened yesterday when we went 442
  21. Pity he's shite in his actual position too
  22. Shouldn't be allowed to spend money IMO
  23. My thoughts, as well. And those idiotic fans were applauding him off. Were they not clearly taking the piss out of him?
  24. Alan Hutton's standing ovation What an abhorrent footballer
  25. There is that aspect, but then Michael Owen scored headers despite being a wee lad and Gini is similar. I just don't think we are using him right. He's been used in loads of different way and has eventually reverted to anonymity in all of them
