    Why no playoffs?

Also the current disillusionment people have with football is a lot more to do with Newcastle being shit than the league being unfair and shit. The league has been shit for much longer than a decade in terms of competitiveness

Yeah, hate it when teams go up by one goal. No chance of getting back into it. Down 2-1 with about two minutes to go in a sport that only has in or around an average of 3 goals per game is about as good of a finish as you can get in any sport

You'd prefer your champ to be a team that can batter watford but can't beat Liverpool? I'd prefer my champ to be the team that gets the most points over the course of a season, against all teams i.e. the way it currently is, rather than a team who can't break down the smaller teams consistently but can frustrate and defend well against better teams and hope to bring it to penalties or nick a goal from a set piece in a one off game

I'm not saying its unfair they win because they're defensive. Atletico Madrid are defensive yet they win most of their games against all different types of opposition, I have no problem with that. I'm saying its unfair they win because the only reason they win is because they only have to play against teams that suit their style, while teams like Arsenal and Man City can hammer most of the teams in the league yet they'll get undone in a one off game against a team that are perfectly set up to play against them. Liverpool so far under Klopp are set up so that their best performances will be against the best teams, doesn't mean they deserve to win the league when they lose to the likes of us.

    Why no playoffs?

How so? Those managers don't do well in the cups as it is right now. They'd only have to play against the big teams in the playoffs, there wouldn't be any need to attack or try to create something such as there would be if they played a smaller team What about in the CL or any competition for that matter? When Barca, Bayern or Real play a lesser team who defends and plays that style, they usually win. The best team always wins no matter what. That's just how it is. They are so much better than the other teams that it doesn't matter. It isn't fair that a team like Liverpool who rely on hard running and counter attacking with not much quality or flair beat Arsenal in a one-off game, having finished 20 points behind them and then they win the league

    Why no playoffs?

Basically what I'm trying to say is that some teams are better suited to playing against better sides where they can sit back and counter rather than playing against smaller teams where they have to create. I think that this system would benefit those teams rather than teams that play good football and don't play a boring risk free style

Well done on missing the point spectacularly

    Why no playoffs?

It would just lead to a perfect scenario for cunts like Mourinho, Pardew, Big Sam, Pulis IMO. Sit back, defend with 10 men back, get a set piece, win 1-0 or bring it to penalties

    Why no playoffs?

Do you actually want to argue a counter point? There's no need. What you're saying is just wrong. How is it wrong? Teams that sit back and counter or play a risk free game don't often beat teams that try to create things and control the game? A playoff system benefits teams that don't have the flair to control a game and break teams down but instead defend in numbers and counter against teams that do try to dominate a game and control things

    Why no playoffs?

The FA Cup isn't taken as seriously and also Chelsea haven't been a boring team for all of the last ten years. Look at how many games between the top teams are won by the counter attacking team that defend well Wouldn't actually know off the top of my head but i'm pretty sure City win the league majority of the big games they play, especially at home. There's plenty of reasons to be against this but i don't think the argument that a defensive team possibly winning it would be one of them as i don't believe that there is a particularly advantage. Don't have stats to hand either but look at Liverpool and Man Utd for example. Both boring teams at the moment that find it difficult to beat the weaker teams but will get results against the better teams because of the tactics they employ as has already been shown this season. Man Utd don't deserve to win the league ahead of Arsenal for example just because they beat them in a one off game which could easily happen

    Why no playoffs?

I'd prefer a team to win the league that had flair and creativity rather than a counter attacking team with a good defence winning it which would probably be the case a lot of the time

    Why no playoffs?

Explain. Barcelona have done pretty well in cup competitions like. I don't find them to be negative. No teams as good as Barcelona in England. In games between top teams where there isn't any clear better team the better team defensively tends to win

    Why no playoffs?

Playoffs would lead to negative, boring teams winning the league. For example that boring as fuck Chelsea team in Mourinho's first season back would probably have won the league
  17. Hate the tactic of the midfielder dropping in as a third centre half when a team has the ball. Doesn't work unless the player can play long accurate passes to the wings
  18. I think he'd make enough of a difference. He's got the potential to take a game by the scruff of the neck, and some real nous. You don't need amazing to stay up, you just need to improve on the glaring weaknesses in the middle (defence and midfield)... Starting Saivet ahead of all their midfielders when he's played less than 40 minutes for you . They're in the top half despite having a dodgy keeper and defence, and a big lump up front. Their midfield can't be that bad. I get that every football forum is like this, but it's dangerously RAWKish. Aye even Lallana who looks pretty shite for them would probably be good for us. Benteke is better than Mitro. Mignolet better than Elliott probably
  19. Sissoko is the player who isn't afraid of the fans getting on his back and is disliked by many, Colback is the fan favorite that hides
  20. Never started more than 20 league games in a season for Milan but had a pretty good goals per game record when he did play
  21. Gignac or Pato would be my guess if they are actually telling the truth
  22. Anita is not better than Tiote
