  1. I think Sissoko would absolutely rape a full back if was just coming on for the last 15 minutes
  2. I would've thought that getting poked in the eye was either fine after a few minutes or a serious problem, and not much between
  3. Don't understand the money being too good to turn down angle. I find the price irrelevant in our current situation unless its something way too much like £15m. Not like we're going to buy some world beater for the £8m we're getting, even if it is a good price for him. I can see how Charnley and Ashley could think its too good to turn down but not fans
  4. £8m. I know it doesn't make a difference with this ownership, but it's still basically £8m + Tiote for Saivet and Shelvey. I think that's pretty decent. I just don't think we should be risking anything for what although is a decent fee, isn't enough that we absolutely have to sell Man £8m for a benched player. It's excellent piece of business. We brought in Saivet to play same position for half, as well as brought in Shelvey. I'm happy with our midfielders apart from Colback. Need to sell more to China, send them Gouff and Obertan as well. I don't care about the money, I'm not Mike Ashley. The two games this season where our midfield have competed well and broken even were the last two games with Tiote playing well, and also Wijnaldum in a central role it has to be said. Saivet only started playing centre midfield this season IIRC and is a risk coming from France anyway. Tiote's decent form probably won't keep up but in the event of an injury or if Saivet doesn't work out I would much prefer Tiote coming in than Colback

  6. Find it a bit ridiculous we would sell him. He's obviously shit at times but I'd still have him over Anita and Colback any time and there's no guarantee Saivet will work out either. Not really interested in the fee

I don't see how he's not suited to the league. I think when he has played its his ability on the ball that has let him down and not strength or anything like that. He's misplaced a lot of passes and some poor dribbling when he played at the start of the season. I do kind of like him though, seems to have a bit of a swagger that suggests he does have quite a bit of ability

Exactly, only reason for being in the worst team is because relative to his potential he did not perform well last season, but I can bet a lot on that he wasn't one of the worst players in Ligue 1 last season. I think Thauvin should get good run of games on the left before he is judged. One off matches and 5 minutes here and there is never going to help him settle. In theory that's a good idea but in our present state we don't really have the luxury of continuously playing a guy while he's playing poorly Really? Yes. Not like we're getting bummed every week now. Most of our players have been performing decently for the last seven games or so bar a few obvious exceptions Depends on your definition of "decent" I suppose. We're quite rightly second bottom because most of them have been rubbish for the vast majority of the season. If we look at the players in the part of the field Thauvin would play in, Sissoko and Wijnaldum are in decent form and our two best players so they won't be dropped, Perez is in poor form but is probably our third best player usually so don't see where we're going to give him an extended run in the team

Interesting that after the West Ham game where he played on the left and played poorly a lot of people were saying he can only play on the right. If that is the case he was never going to be able to show his best here given Sissoko wasn't going to be moved

What the fuck are you talking about man? It's not like he made a Darlow style clanger to gift them the game - he had a ridiculously harsh penalty decision given against him that 9/10 referees would have correctly turned down and aye he made a suspect pass for the 2nd, but were the rest of the team busting a gut to get back? Could other defenders have done better? He played quite well and made an error there but to say 'he alone' cost us 2 goals is nothing short of utter bollocks. He did play a pretty big part in the second like, obviously not all his fault but the way he seemed to jog back after losing the ball was very discouraging

Surely can't have been as bad as made out last season if they want him back?

Nobody would take Obertan sure we could get shot if we wanted on loan like We'd probably still end up paying most of his wages I'd say

  17. John Stones really needs to learn to stop diving in in the box
  18. Anita's made twice as many tackles per game, twice as many interceptions, more clearances and less fouls and Anita isn't even a very useful player himself. I don't get this idea that Tiote is a useful player, he occasionally steps up and has a really good game like he did against Arsenal, so does Anita (very good against Liverpool for instance). But in general he's a liability, gets caught on the ball in crazy areas and sometimes goes through spells where he gives the ball away so often I could have sworn he had to be doing it deliberately. Like I said he will have the odd all action performance, which is why we might actually manage to con someone into paying good money for him. I say take it and move on. Were you the guy who said we'd start getting hammered in all our games when Anita got injured? We've just had our two best midfield performance of the season in his absence
  19. I just think given his height its assumed that Mascherano wouldn't be a good centre half for a lot of teams, rightly or wrongly
  20. His shit attempt at trying to redeem himself when we were in a good position a few minutes later made it even worse
  21. Colo has been pretty good in all our games recently IMO. He's just always liable to do something terrible due to his lack of pace or strength usually. He's always so good on the ball as well
  22. Aye like we lost 3-0 to Spurs and Liverpool You're using spurs as an example even though the game turned cos he went off Aye when we were 1-0 down against a team better than Man Utd. Mitrovic is no doubt better in a game like this than Cisse but it's just ridiculous acting like we would've been hammered with Cisse instead of Mitrovic
