I don't think McClaren even wants this job that much really. If he did he wouldn't have turned us down twice to stay with a team in the Championship. Basically I think we are clearly desperate for him to take the job for some reason, kept offering it to him and when he eventually found himself out of a job this was just too easy a paycheck to turn down. How much is he earning at PSG, anybody know? I can't imagine many teams can offer him what he's earning there outside of the big clubs so it'll likely only be a loan move that he makes. Unless he wants to take a pay cut. In that scenario (a loan) I can see him going somewhere like Palace - knows the coach, knows he'll play every game as long as he's fit and it's in London near his buddy. Unlikely but not implausible imo.

I read on twitter that he wanted £3m a year AFTER tax which is about £57k per week. But the club would obviously have to pay him more than that before it gets taxed, I don't know how much it would be exactly but it must be close to £100k which is mental if true
