  1. Looks like it'll be Cech, Terry, and Ramires out of the game on Sunday. Hazard and Eto'o 50/50. Forget all that, if we don't beat this shower of shit, we won't deserve the title. One thing is for sure, we won't cross as much Atleti did tonight, which was exactly what Mourinho wanted. Fucking Chelsea man.
  2. ^ Yep. Cech, Azplicueta, Terry, Cahill, Cole, Mikel, Luiz, Lampard, Ramires, Willian, Torres
  3. Chelsea's midfield today: Lampard, Ramires, Mikel, Luiz
  4. I would imagine CQ's stock will be pretty high after he leads Iran to WC Quarter-finals. But the football he has played (as a manager, as opposed to assistant) will be found boring and uninspiring for Man Utd' support.
  5. Norwich were great I thought. Such a different side compared to Hughton's. Impressed with their pressing game. Think they have one big result in the, but I don't think even 35 points will be enough.

Fucking hell. Phase 1 of the plan already accomplished, on to phase 2 now
  7. Barcelona XI vs Real Madrid: Pinto; Alves, Mascherano, Bartra, Alba; Sergio Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta; Neymar, Fabregas, Messi. Real Madrid XI vs Barcelona: Casillas; Carvajal, Ramos, Pepe, Coentrao; Xabi Alonso, Di Maria, Modric; Isco, Benzema, Bale. Hopefully this will go to penalties.

^ Yep. This was extremely tasteless. Absolutely no question. But dickheads are everywhere.

    Hillsborough

What do you mean by anywhere ? The responsible parties for Heysel were arrested, prosecuted, and punished. People actually went to jail and served time, English clubs were banned. Liverpool apologized, has a Heysel memorial mosaic at Anfield, and upon facing Juventus in CL Quarter-finals in 2005, planned out a program in Heysel remembrance, which was turned back on and shown middle finger by Juventus fans prior to the Kick-Off. The same hasn't happened for Hillsborough yet, hence the on-going press. If this new inquest finally demotes some knighthoods, and single out those responsible and give them the adequate punishment, the press will just treat it like any natural tragedy. In hindsight, if the cover-up didn't happened and the S*n didn't come up with that article, back 25 years ago, it wouldn't be on-going now. It's also fascinating how Hillsborough receives so much attention and positive support from the clubs abroad and their fans (Olympiacos, Dortmund, Atletico, Inter, AC Milan, Bayern, etc) , and not as much in England (Opposition fans) from what I've read or seen.
  10. Nah its all Arsenal's, its nice to dream about this down the wire race but in reality its not happening. Arsenal's run in is easy as f*ck and they will win every game without breaking a sweat, while Everton will drop at least one game. Relegation fight is the same, its nice to dream about teams being pulled into the mix but in reality Norwich, Cardiff and Sunderland are nailed on certainties. Everton CAN drop points in one fixture though. Because of superior GD. They have phenomenal home record and beating both Manc teams at Goodison is a certain possibility. It's about their away games, of which Saints are already on their holidays, and Hull players will be conserving their energy and mind for the FA Cup final on that last game of the season. Everton have won 7 in a row now, are the second-form team in the Prem and their toughest remaining games are at home where they are very formidable....they aren't gonna turn shit all of a sudden.
  11. Great result for neutrals. That 4th place spot will go down the wire. Can't see Everton slipping up anywhere except home game vs. City. Saints are on their holidays, and Moyes will bottle it at Goodison. It'd be quiet amusing if a Jelavic goal on the last day denies them that 4th spot though. Big match day for both next week. Everton hosting Man Utd, and Arsenal away at Hull for exhibition of FA Cup final
  12. A bit of a controversial question.... Youse lot correctly hammer Pardew and Ashley for their lack of ambition and ready made excuses of (We can't aim big and compete with clubs bigger and richer than us) here, and yet you prefer the rich (Chelsea and City) to prevail again, justifying the notion of, in the end...money and resources prevail... ? Also, I think the media-wankfest is not because it's Liverpool, but because it's something new and hence, a better story to tell and cherish. The most popular title winning teams in eyes of neutral media in recent times were City's 11-12, Chelsea's 04-05, Man Utd's 06-07 (overcoming the notion that Chelsea will dominate for years), their treble winning team, and the one who won first (Bruce with Skrtel-esque goals), Arsenal's 03-04 and 97-98 etc. There is a pattern there. They were either winning after a long long time, or were doing it in amazing fashion, hence the media's backing. If it was Spurs/Southampton/Newcastle who were in Liverpool's position now, I bet it'd be the exact same. Hell, Spurs qualified for the CL once and this "Breath of fresh air", "Best football in the league" and Redknapp love-in was all over the place. It's not about the teams...It's about stories. Everton will rightly get a fuck load of praise if they get 4th and this time make it to CL groups. Because everyone loves those stories and they sell better.
  13. Milner man. He is mint, when used properly. Totally showed up Navas for the one trick pony that he is. Would actually start him if England are going to play some variety of 4-2-2-2 (Similar to what City usually play) at the World Cup.

    Sunderland

Jokes aside, forgetting the cup run, Poyet has done every bit as poorly as Solskjaer in the league. 24 points in 25 games. Wonder how many they'd have now if Di Canio stayed. At least he called it right with their players not caring/being twats. He would have probably been jailed by now with all the squad feuds.

Was thinking yesterday, it'd be fantastic if they can get some sort of false hope in the next 10 days, only to be dragged down again. Will make it things a bit more spicy, and the RTG meltdown would be funnier. Some sort routine like away wins at Etihad and StamfordBridge, then followed by a brave typical 0-2 home loss to Cardiff. Yea, make it happen. Just to mix it up and make it a little less dull.
  16. Okay, finally home from the pub. Was out on the piss until 4 AM last night, thankfully managed to get myself up at 7 ,and head to Londoner, and it was amazing. Always great when the pub is packed when the sky is still dark outside. On the game. I think overall we deserved it. SAS were our worst players by a mile, but thankfully rest of the team stepped up and we got some decisions our way to balance out the terrible officiating at Ettihad back on Boxing day. Gerrard, Skrtel, Flanagan, Coutinho and Sterling were the best players for us I felt. Thought we should have put the game to bed at 2-0 and missed several chances, but in a game of such stature it's never easy. Glad we got the lucky break, and just a shame about Henderson's red (deserved though ,a heat of the moment, but a dangerous tackle nonetheless). A step closer. Read the thread, a few things I wanted to comment on: 1) Why don't they have a minute of silence for Heysel? Heysel anniversary is always watched and mourned at Anfield, but for the entire JFT39 comments, I find it incredibly small time. The whole reason the Hillborough campaign going on stronger than rest of football tragedy is that the dead and victims were portrayed as scumbags and the villains by the Sun and the government', so the mourning families not only had to go through loss of loved ones, but also the tags and wrong reputations they got as it was proved in September 2012. Whereas in Heysel, we were rightly identified as the ones in charge, people responsible WENT to jail, the ban came, and the responsible parties got some sort of punishment as they deserved. It hasn't happened for Hillsborough yet, and that's why the issue is ongoing. It was a football tragedy ffs that could have happened to any of us (I've been to a a football game where 7 people lost their lives and never went home - Iran vs. Japan WCQ 2006), so to use the snide comment I think is small time, no matter how much one doesn't like Liverpool FC. 2) About the outrage of "If Liverpool win it, we'll never hear the end of it." Admittedly, I don't live in England now to see how the media see it every day, but I don't think anything is going to match the drama of "Agueroooooooooooooooo" When he scored City's first title winning goal in 44 years. Plus, it's a world cup year, and from June ,the focus is all shifted. And We may have bad reputation among opposition fans, but it's not like Chelsea or City are saints. Abramovich money that has funded Chelsea's success hasn't exactly come from the right reasons, and the Sheikh money has come from loss of so many Indian lives in Dubai to due unprotected labour. We can do that for every club, I think we play good football, and it'd be a nice victory for football if it happened, though I fully understand if some disagree. Plus, Liverpool may get a media wankfest if they win, but so will Mourinho and his dire football. I hope City wins it, if we don't. I personally hate Chelsea more than Man Utd...so fingers crossed there. 3) On Liverpool fans feeling entitled, I agree with a post made in the other page. It's better to feel entitled than accepting (I can't claim any entitlement since I wasn't even born when the past glory was there in the 80s), but until you aim big, you won't try to reap big rewards. It may make you looks like a cunt in public, but eventually, it's for the good. I don't think any Liverpool fan regrets chanting "Hodgson for England" in Jan 2011, or making that "Dear Mr. Hicks" video in October 2010. It's a sport we all love. It's part of our lives and we are passionate to fight for it as much as we can as football fans. In any case, hope the best team wins in the end , it's been quiet a journey (not one I'm used to), and the ride has been great. Let's what the next few weeks has in store for us.
  17. Yaya out for the season apparently. Time to shuffle up the fantasy teams. Will make a decent lost once I'm back from the pub at my computer. Happy Sunday and gorran Swansea !
  18. Cardiff 0-1 up. Sundo needs to go for the win here.

Fucking hell Everton. Win it in second half please.
  21. Norwich missing some amazing chances vs. Fulham. Stockdale with an amazing save to deny RVW
  22. Really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Injured by Micah Richards of all people . . Still won't believe it until the team sheets are announced tomorrow. http://i59.tinypic.com/xds9kl.png
  23. Kompany limped out of City training today with a knee problem.
  24. Oliver Kays saying Liverpool very interested in Kroos, however unlikely to put a bid (Just monitor it ), becausewhoever wants to sign Kroos has to pay 35 Million pound for the transfer, and his wage demands are around 225,000 pounds a week. Fucking hell. Good luck Man Utd
  25. Likes of Kolo, Pepe Mel, Adrian, Ozil should be nowhere neat those lists Do people remember the outrage at Arsenal after their opening day home loss ? Ozil's positive influence and general good mood carried them for a while. Kolo Toure, a free signing, was a massive part of Liverpool hanging on to three 1-0 wins in August without Suarez. Made 2 assists to Sterling and Sturridge vs. Arsenal and Everton at Anfield..Yet all is forgotten due to two comedy own goals against WBA and Fulham. Pepe Mel has had some woeful home results, but he's done the business when needed. 2 away wins in relegation 6 pointers and they are pretty much safe. Not to mention commandable games against top teams despite having a squad woefully incapable of executing his style of football. Adrian has like the 3rd most number of clean sheets in the league ffs I'd personally go with: Stekelenburg (Awful. Absolutely s***) Fabio (Single handedly responsible for every other goal Cardiff have conceded under OGS) Virgini ( ) Amorbieta ( When was the last time he even made final 18 ?) Dossena (How is this guy still a footballer ? ) Zaha (15M) Fellaini Lamela (Is he still alive?) Osvaldo (To think where Saints would be if they got their expensive Serie A signings right instead of dross like him and Ramirez) Aspas ( The Spanish Danny Graham. Looks a nice guy though, and a bit of Mr.Bean about him) Soldado Manager: Solskjaer (Had Cardiff nailed on to survive because they had a lot of home games against teams around them in second half of the season, but OGS has managed to lose all of them except the one vs. Fulham. Would have been Poyet had it not been for their cup runs)
