  1. 5m in the scheme of things is nothing this is a business tractions so maintint relationships and doing some back scratching can be beneficial elsewhere down the line.
  2. Absolutely, this isn't a slow moving industry you can't wait around for a year to replace the head guy despite him being a glorified administrator, ultimately the head rots from the top and the lack of direction is apparent. I know what I post comes across as negative but we leave a lot to be desired and have structural issues, and I'm judging the club based upon what they've stated themselves for the sake of consistency.
  3. To add on, my assertion is that the glass ceiling is best case current trajectory assuming the owners wish to continue to spend up to the psr limit. Obviously if they aren't willing then that changes everything. On reflection the club appears to be very fragile and everything is a bit of a mirage, this awful summer has really highlighted how far behind we are in all aspects (manager aside). For me the most concerning thing is these people do not have a plan, they have a stated goal but no plan to achieve said goal. Eddie has rightfully impressed them and been afforded a lot of say as well, wouldn't be at all shocked if he was the person who had the best line to the chairman at this stage. Ps i don't expect ceo or dfo to make much of a difference as @The College Dropout keeps pointing out we need the buy in from the people who can get things done and to be frank whoever we appoint as CEO is a glorified administrator with no autonomy to do anything. Wrt to DFO, the athletic have reported that Eddie has had a hand in picking him I'm sure this will make a lot of folk happy so I'll leave it at that.
  4. It absolutely isn't but then again they don't need to be. They just need to invest and hire the right people to do the day to day operations something they've obviously failed at and been slow to rectify. I think as fans we need to understand the current trajectory which is at best glass ceiling to sometimes challenging for CL so we can process the information better. That whole nobody 1 talk is just empty nonsense.
  5. I've been waiting to judge until the stadium questioned is answered but given that's delayed .... I think we've just been sold a lie tbh, I think they have an idea that buying and selling footballers can make for a good investment and that's what we end up as. This offer for Isak is the only offer we've had for a decent player since they owned us and look how it's been handled, nobody has confidence in them handling it well Sponsorships have been anemic and poorly handled, why sign such long deals if you want to maximise revenue? We've gone out of our way not to challenge the status quo and overachieved due to the gaffa. Meanwhile the important stuff which is the owners domain has had a wipe and a new lick of paint and that's about it.

    Malick Thiaw

Double comos offer. Please clear decks this summer.
  7. Can't believe people buy the contract story either Wanted a new contract so rejected the one we offered him righto. Was blatantly tapped up and has always been open to leave.
  8. This is on the club if we cede to his wishes then we deserve whatever we get. We get to decide our own fate and if we choose to strengthen our rivals for a cut price fee we've got nobody to blame but ourselves. Fed up with the amount of excuses churned out, we are reaching labour party proportions. (Not you mate)
  9. Absolutely aye, we don't even need to sell in June (in fact June next summer will be the same as selling this summer as it's the same fye for most clubs). Need to wait and see how this plays out before judging it.
  10. From the athletic doesn't say they are friends but..
  11. Because they are paid to say whatever the preferred party wants them to say.
  12. And to add on nobody can force us to do anything despite all of the noise from the media and the likes of Romano it's our call. We either have balls or we don't.
  13. It's more about optics. We sell to Liverpool who've blatantly tapped him up we look incredibly weak and have provided everyone in the world with a blueprint on how to get any player from us. We sell to Liverpool for less than the 150m (which is way to low) then obviously we are absolutely pathetic and have essentially rolled over for them.
  14. I did say the same thing. I want separation. I don't want the club to collapse when the day comes.
  15. Nkunku isn't a 9 is probably why
  16. He also massively underperforms xg and puts up worst numbers than Isak who basically fucked off a third of the season. Also it's the same guy who Chelsea replaced not once but twice this summer.
  17. He's not someone who we should be looking at to be the main man.
  18. Btw is it true the DOF are are linked with the lad from forest is Eddie's mate?
  19. To be fair we've allowed them to de-stress our asset for free. That's why they think they can get him on the cheap. We've just bent over as is becoming our usually operating procedure.
  20. It's actually disgusting a NE journo would write a PR piece for Liverpool but it's utterly unsurprising given I've seen 3 other journalists glazing Liverpool fans for leaving comments about isak.
