Land value is much less in the north easy so it’s a much less potent trick.
-
It’s one of the many issues with FFP, these assets were accrued before FFP was a thing so they are basically zero cost. It’s like selling an academy player

If he has the tax payer paying for his stadium whilst he continues to rack up billions you might want to reassess who the actual plebs are.
-
Another tax payer funded stadium in Manchester would be a kick in the teeth for the rest of the country.
-
We have two away games and have been ropey away all season.
-
Especially given the owner is a fucking tax exile, it’s extraordinary levels of arrogance.
-
Fingers crossed, he’s great but unreliable and we can’t afford to carry him.
-
We had about 10 minutes in the second half where we pushed Bruno up to be an 8, and it was truly tragic, we looked so turgid the moment we did it, we really struggle to progress the ball which makes a lot of sense given we were missing 3 of our best progressors from deep.
-
He said it was some tightness and not really an injury.
-
We didn’t have the luxury of resting out best player so it’s a mistake for me.
-
Fucking hell this is tense.
-
Any idea why he’s missing?

Beth isn’t worth responding too. If we follow the logic we should never buy centre backs because Boumsong was a poor buy etc.

I understand the point your making but when you compare apples to apples it is a an FFP helper. Do the maths for Tonali vs Kamara this is a better comparison than Tino. Also, if you want to sell Kamara who you didn’t pay a transfer free it’s like selling an academy player as you have no transfer fee to amortise. Where as selling Tonali in year 3 would still have a book value of 20+m. High quality players don’t come cheap, if you can dodge a transfer fee and top up the players wages slightly your ahead.

In offer to progress the ball up the field the ball needs to remain in play and not out for a throw in. The second pope is pressed he usually punts it either long or out of play. He’s amongst the best shot stoppers but amongst the worst with the ball at his feet in the league.
-
Then he’d be missing a trick, imo. Anyways the original point which I’ll get back to is, Tosin and Kelly are no brainer.
-
Err, you realise Bruno and Joe have got new contracts right? Bruno is definitely on more than that and Tonali is probably on about what Kamara is on. and again, Villa have paid it with seemingly no issues, ultimately the salary is well below what other top 6 teams are paying.
-
Of course, those clubs have been playing both sides for the longest, they didn’t get the super league but they got the bigger piece of the pie. They should be getting less for the next 100 years as punishment.
-
Eh not really given Villa managed it in Less revenue than us. Also, would have allowed us to dodge Tonali who, when you are in his fee and his wage is costing us twice as much.
-
Yup absolutely but it’s the classic big boys rigging things in favour of themselves.
-
If we have the budget, ie we keep Bruno and Isak add Kelly and Tosin and a RW I’d be definitely looking to upgrade Pope. Pope is a fantastic keeper but he’s a bit of liability with the ball at his feet.
-
Absolutely this, I’ve already lamented us missing out on Kamara when Villa got him for free, let’s not repeat such mistakes this summer.
-
Heard beamish was a good place for those kind of things.

I think the opposite signing those on free transfers is such a no brainer, you improve the squad with proven premier league quality which hopefully Eddie can coach to become champions league quality. If it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t matter they were free and can be loaned or sold. The lads you mentioned are much higher risk.
