  1. Context is important right, we won't be signing him In vacuum for a few made up by kaka.
  2. I haven't seen the story is it confirmed they are paying his wages in full? I somehow doubt they are tbh
  3. I think he's worth more than what they paid tbh. That being said he'd be a poor replacement for Isak and it they want 50m + and he wants to be the starter than we should be passing. I ask again, would anyone be ok with him replacing Isak? Aka he becomes the main man the 9?

This one is an interesting one, I haven't seen enough of him to make a judgement but on paper it looks ok. Obviously he's not a player any of us were dreaming about but the profile is at least logical, he's youngish Eddie works great with centre half and the fee and the wages shouldn't be awful. As all of these are manageable we should have an out without losing too much money if it goes wrong.
  5. They are going to spunk the Xavi Simmons money on someone quite a bit worst?
  6. He would be passable then, but as pointed out we aren't getting him at that price and he isn't coming here to warm the bench. Also the optics are indeed awful. And again Chelsea play 4231 where he dovetailed with Palmer, he will be flapping about getting sent off when we are lumping balls to him from deep because we are too tired to press
  7. They don't have a rule to investigate it with. We weren't the only ones doing PSR swaps. Probably impossible to close the loophole now too.
  8. He's worst in every metric and Isak took 2 months off after the cup final man. You don't want your striker massively underperforming xg especially if he's your main guy.

Lequipe bout to pish @Kid Icarus over the edge.
  10. Yeah but it basically counters each other out and on top of that Gordon is better than keeping Anderson and Minteh. Obviously she wasn't perfect nobody is saying that but she got stuff done and pushed us forwards.
  11. Your not making much sense, we shouldn't have signed Gordon to avoid the PSR mess but also shouldn't have offered him out?
  12. We have had dynamics issues, we've had two sporting directors in 2 years. Don't get me wrong I'm not attributing that to Andy Howe but we clearly do have issues how they manifest we won't ever know from the outside looking in. On a personal anecdotal level I can tell you about how the HR head of a firm I worked was the CEOs wife worked We've also failed in a speculator fashion this summer to the point we are now the laughing stock of the league. Again I'm not blaming Andy Howe for this but again clearly something isn't right.
  13. Taking a step back, it's crazy we give Chelsea a call to ask how much Jackson would be and it's leaked to Jacobs right away
  14. Both sides have to be considered imo it's a financial equation at the end of the day.
  15. I see that and that's fine chief scout at a club like Bournemouth is a world away from what our ambitions are. I havent checked but how long was the overlap between Foley taking over and Ah leaving? For me, it's just not needed and will definitely cause issues in terms of dynamics but again I'm one of the few advocates for removing the transfer power from the manager.
  16. I do actually get it, we let players go who obviously could fill roles we have and are going to have to spend money on. However the other side of the same coin is who are you removing Hall? tino? Nobody seriously makes that trade?
  17. missed the part where other clubs were queuing up for him. Your presumption it isn't nepotism is the same as mine btw.
  18. Absolutely no hate intended from but if people take that way it's fine. Not sure why being anti nepotism is a controversial stance but here we are.
  19. Made me laugh aloud on the train haha
  20. Yup this is precisely what we could do should be choose to. We've been absolutely wet about this briefing to journalists who are briefing against us hasn't worked out well.
  21. Nothing suggests he's best in class if he is I'm happy for him to go join whoever is the best in the world and go prove it. Man isn't irreplaceable. On numerous occasions we've gone for players we weren't getting man who have we bought where we had competition man? All those key players were free runs, the moment competition comes up we fold like a paper bag. It's all good we just leave it be, we don't agree here and it's absolutely fine
  22. He's a director and a portfolio manager for Pif. Don't expect him to be involved in the day to day running of things.
  23. I think and correct me if I'm wrong what your saying is they are not to blame for this mess which is fine. For me, they are partly responsible as these targets which we've failed to get are ones they've identified, and imo a failure to understand who and who we should be targeting is aspect of the recruitment teams job. The above reason isn't why I want Andy Howe gone, I want him gone because for me he's in the job because his uncle is the gaffa and I personally believe we need best in class. I hope this is a bit clearer and I'm with you perfectly happy to agree to disagree no bother.
  24. No no, no scapegoating him. I didn't and do not want him my stance has not changed. He may or may not be to blame. I don't want nepotism. I want a functional club I do not want manager led recruitment and I love Eddie Howe. I want long term planning.
