The issues of this summer happen within the current structure I agree. We didn't need another goal keeper last summer, its not just about optics it's also resource allocation. I actually don't think it makes sense to develop goalkeepers and most elite clubs seem to take the same approach. You just buy the best you can. Anyways this detail distracts from the main points which is we have systematic issues at all levels which will need to be sorted if we are to be number 1 (not my words).
