Nah, reconfiguring the entire midfield for a loan player who's approaching 30 isn't something we'd be doing thankfully.
-
If he wants and Konate joins real on a free he will be a starter.
-
He's got cancer, at that stage the decision should be taken out of his hands and a replacement sought asap. Although 9 months is about par for our ASAP.
-
Bullshit test. Portuguese player, two English clubs involved. Exclusive broken by French "journalist" ❌
-
The appointment of the CEO is done by the board of directors.
-
To be frank, the amount of time taken to find Eales replacement had been borderline negligent.
-
It's kinda obvious the club thought they had Guehi in the bag and thus passed on everyone else last summer. I think Parish and his demands really caught us off guard. I think in the past we have been diverse in our targets as well, I know this drought we are currently enduring has people fucked up but if you step back our work in the market has been second to none. We can't be critical yet imo, obviously if our business is looking like the gobi once the window closes that will be another story.

This is a great litmus test for how we scout mind, if he goes to Palace and tears it up we've dropped the ball. We know it's a position we are targeting and we know it's an age profile and budget we could work in. The fact we obviously aren't in for him means we have someone in mind we deem a better fit.

It depends on many factors but if we are sitting around waiting for prices to drop them we are a bit naive.

From two signings before pre season to 1 during early pre season

Athletic top 5 stand ours at euro u21

This is exactly what is happening. We tried to go early if people recall but we're rejected 3 times. (Huijsen, Delap, Mbuemo).
-
Which makes sense they don't sell the best players they have until they are over the hill. See RVP. Arsenal fans are such weirdos. Imagine us selling Isak and blasting about our record sale being 100m + Small club mentality.
-
Which player are they referring? I know they suffer from delusional but the fact they got good money for an over hyped crock and someone who specialised in scoring in the league cup is beyond me.
-
It's a silly comment. They won the fa cup and qualified for Europe and maintained their place on the gravy train. Massive win for Parish and Palace and vindicates them.
-
So, we don't reckon he was brought in to do the transfers and this hasn't materlised?
-
Arsenal seem to get good fees for players which are bang average as well.
-
Teams have forever being overpaying for liverpools riff raff.
-
Your right it has. I think this window is fundamentally different in that we do have PSR headroom so we will be investing. As per my original post. It will always be difficult for us to get our first choice targets as the competition for those can and do pay bigger fees and wages. This will continue to be the challenge until we can achieve revenue parity (Which I actually don't see happening any time soon but that's another topic )
-
It feels that way but we don't know if that is actually true at this point. We can revisit this assessment at the end of the window. After all, it's still only June. If a month or radio silence passes I will be right next to you but for now I don't see any reasons to panic.
-
Whilst true it's also much more difficult for us to secure our first choice targets. The simple fact is, we aren't any players first choice so we are somewhat reliant on our sky 6 rivals not being interested.
-
Any young player is a gamble, the point being 6 good months increased the price exponentially. As I said, player value will always have many factors but across the board two identical players one with no premier League experience and one with the pl experience will command a premium. You may want to have a read/listen to how to win the premier League, it's a great book which dives into many aspect of this.

He was contracted to Juve and on loan at Roma. He was anything but obscure.
