  1. Isn’t the hold up on MM contract at Chelsea the fact he’s asking for huge wages? Either way I don’t see him coming here and especially not as a squad player.
  2. If we could pick up Tielmans on a free it would be huge.
  3. Arsenal fans are hilarious, expecting 50m for a player who warms the bench and is a walk sick note.
  4. Fantastic post as usual Yorks. I think they definitely can catch up, will they probably not. One of the premier leagues biggest strengths is actually the unity of the member clubs. They generally move in lockstep which makes getting things done much easier. It’s not so long ago a club like Parma had world class players like Crespo, football is always evolving and unlikely most things recently we got it right and have gained a massive lead. Whilst other clubs were spending money on players British clubs were investing in better more stadium and creating a brand in the premier league which is unmatched. Fan experience is important, who wants to watch a game where the running track separates the fans from the pitch? The sound mixing as you mentioned is often dog shit in the international leagues, it’s the passion that draws people in display it. Unfortunately in this life it’s adapt or be left behind.
  5. I’d say so, especially if you’re one of the bigger clubs. That being said when we invest our potential talent pool is huge and something to be very excited about. As @TBG mentioned, this will take 10-15 years and will require a lot of investment.
  6. Counter point to your passionate and well written post is, by the time the summer comes he will a likely have achieved all he can in Naples and not to mention; brinkmanship aside Napoli will be absolutely thrilled to get 100m + for him. Also, you speak so well about Italy but fail to mention the other side of the coin, which is the massive amounts of racism black players get thrown at them, why would he not want to go to London or even Manchester where it’s culturally diverse and he won’t be abused. Throughout my time watching football, we have always had a dominant league, it was Italy then Spain and now England, times change and it’s up to the other leagues to catch up. Also, I could never understand why footballers get criticised for moving for money as if this isn’t the norm in any other industry.
  7. Lol, no Longstaff is average and will be a good squad member moving forwards you would hope.
  8. Classic NO post. Player wants to achieve his dream = depressing
  9. Ron, out of interest what would you suggest if we did finish 8th?
  10. Well, man United tend to get a lot of people behind the ball and break at pace. once they go a goal behind the strategy goes out of the window and they have to open up.
  11. Amazing finish that, struck it so sweetly.
  12. Feels as if FSG/Klopp have managed Liverpool’s ageing squad transition pretty poorly. Feels like they need a lot of Investment to keep them challenging.
  13. Referring is piss poor here
  14. Scouse need to be careful here. This man United team is a pure counter attacking team.
  15. Not to be that guy but I don’t think we will be challenging top 4 next season, obviously I hope I’m totally wrong.
  16. If man United get a right back, cm and striker in the summer they will be a proper title contender.
  17. He’s past his peak now. If he wanted to win things he definitely hung at palace far too long but pair play to him for that.
  18. He’s on huge wages and Palace have always wanted big money for him. Also come on, he went to Man United at the worst possible time and he was young.
  19. Your mental Zaha has consistently been one of the best players outside of the top 6 for years. It’s cool kaka I think you just like those hard working players.
  20. I wouldn’t be, he’s literally perfect for them.
  21. We have Longstaff and Joelinton who are performing a similar role. We need to add quality in area so we don’t have to rely so heavily on Bruno.
  22. We have to be aiming higher than man United stiffs. He’s literally as average as they come.

    Anthony Gordon

That can’t be right, you don’t go spending 40m on a player that isn’t ready. We certainly aren’t in a position to be doing so.
  24. This is good post, I’ve also noticed our midfield being far too high in transition. it’s good if you have great passers from deep but when we have an off day it ends up in us turning over the ball in dangerous areas. Jamal played really well yesterday but it’s noticeable how much we missed Schar ability on the ball and Botman was also sloppy yesterday.
