  1. Any reason why Tuesday in particular? No - absolutely no logic behind it whatsoever, just a gut feel.

  3. I think it will happen within the next couple of weeks. Despite the outrage it appears they don’t fail the test.
  4. It won’t drag on forever you can take comfort in that. Everyday that passes is another day we are closer to a decision.
  5. Ffp is stupid and should be scraped immediately. It only forces to enshrine the status quo
  6. Easy solution for the PL would be: Approve takeover Sell the rights for Saudi to Saudi at a fixed price. Sell the rights for Qatar to bein at a fixed price. Auction the remaining rights for MENA as usual. Takes away the geopolitical Football.
  7. Saudi Arabia’s issues with Qatar are much larger than paying for BeIN. Why should the PL care about anything that doesn't directly / indirectly affect them? The BeIN issue a byproduct of the blockade which Saudi and its allies have placed on Qatar. BeIN is a key stakeholder for the PL who have a zero tolerance on piracy it’s alleged SA are responsible for the piracy hence the issue.

  9. If the PL are insisting PIF do something with regards to Piracy I can’t imagine PIF being thrilled. A members club telling them how to run the country won’t go down well I think.
  10. Giving Carroll a new contract - grim.
  11. Maybe that's what's happening? Of course PCP/MA can agree to extend that date but if the PL believes (or has come to understand) that an extension would not be mutually agreeable then procrastination would be a very useful way of avoiding an uncomfortable decision. This is my view too, they have a get out which will save them from a law suit too. This deal lapsing would be the perfect solution for them imo.
  12. Unlikely. How could the private members club be bound by such a date? They will see it as the consortiums problem.
  13. Worrying, especially if other bidders waiting are true. Would be typical NUFC to come so close to glory but so far.
  14. I find that extremely worrying personally. If it’s true, buying NUFC just became a whole lot more expensive for SA.
  15. Interesting take. I think as far as he’s concerned he’s just waiting for the money.
  16. Thats all we have left ;-) That's all you ever had Of course, just didn’t want to give the wrong impression with my post.
  17. Actually, I think it’s where things become complex. Say for example this does hinge on Piracy how can PIF make any sort of commitment on this when the argument is it has nothing to do with them. It’s possible they are in a situation where they are dammed if they do and dammed if they don’t. Of course all of the above is pure speculation.
  18. Other than media shitstorm I honestly don't see why they wouldn't want this to go through? I'm sure the fear of losing out on potential serious investment in their league isn't lost on them. And don't they already have findings of WTO report, or am I making that up? According to media reports they do yes.
