  1. Know nowt about him but doesnt seem to get many assists? Just 5/6 in the league from his last 90+ games. We could do with some creativity, we already have a strong finisher we cant get near the ball. Something we are seriously lacking, is a goal threat down the left. Jonas is so poor attacking wise, i'm certain a lot of managers will have a decent RB who they will know will be able to deal with him easily. It wasn't that long ago Jonas and Enrique were our primary force going forward, making our left side very dangerous. That was more Enrique being able to get forward overlapping Jonas who would drop back in. With Santon tending to cut in, we have nothing out wide on the left at all. Call me old fashinoned by i want my LW/LM to be more dangerous and advanced than our full back. The FB supporting him and sometimes getting more forward, but mainly helping the LW/LM attack. Old Fashioned In my eyes you can approach the solution in two viable ways: The first is what Bimpy said. The second is to have an attacking wingback ala Roberto Carlos and someone cutting in from the left trying to score and create goals. We take the not viable third option which is playing with a fullback who cuts inside and a defensive winger who offers nothing going forward and not much from a defensive aspect ie he can't tackle, isn't good positionally, doesn't read the game well etc.
  2. It all comes down to one unified group of the different factions to come together and organize a proper game plan and promote a way of starving Ashley of his investment but as the Labour club meet proved it changed nowt . Yes as a fan base we lack unity and can't agree on collective action. A lot of people believe Ashley did us a massive favour but even if you believe this how long can you continue to bow down to this school of thought and continue to show gratitude when he continually takes the piss?
  3. If Cabaye is "ready" to play and Santon is fit I'd love to see that lineup but I doubt either will make the cut. That's a nice line up, far too attacking for Pardew i would think though. Your spot on mate its far too attacking because Pardew only knows how to contain the opposition by sitting back and not getting tight. I watched villa last night and they got it right pressed aggressively and got tight giving Chelsea a hard Time to break them down. Yeah, i was watching the Spurs game thinking, if we had took the lead we would have sat back and made them look good. Spurs just buried them. I wonder what Pardew thinks when he's watching other games, he's not daft and he must enjoy watching teams play well. Why he then gets us to play the way he does just baffles me. Also managers watch games back on video later. Does enjoy watching us play the way we do when he's not on the touchline when it can appear different. How can he just continue with the same stuff he himself must see as poor. Really enjoy your posts bimpy I've no idea what Pardew thinks to be honest. Given the things he says though maybe its a case of negative thoughts = negative actions?
  4. Lol im sure he will have another excuse waiting in the wings. You know what folks? I think we've finally found something Alan is good at Tbf to him, whenever he's asked about transfers he tries to say something, as we've seen it's utter nonsense. I still dont know why he just doesn't say, ask Joe. Then leave it at that. Because Joe says the same things as Pardew 3 in by Friday and we are going go sign 3 strikers. Pardew just does a good PR job by talking about we are still in the market biding our time because he knows that if he speaks honestly and talks frankly about our business being done their will be a rebellion and a mini boycott

  7. I like Chelsea and mourinho personally. It's nice to see ambition and positivity
  8. Does Dan gosling count as a new signing?
  9. Lol im sure he will have another excuse waiting in the wings. You know what folks? I think we've finally found something Alan is good at
  10. Not if you already have Oscar, Hazard, Willian, De Bryune and Schürrle. But Mata is arguably the best of them. I would argue the same. But who know If I were Arsenal I'd be throwing some Money Chelseas way for Mata. Possibly Real Madrid too if they sell Benzema and Di Maria.
  11. I think he was sold a different vision that what he's seeing though. I bet he was promised signings and progression on the pitch, not the tight fisted nonsense we've had. Doesn't excuse not playing mind. This is exactly why Jose Enrique left. When we signed him we told him we'd be challenging to play Champions League football. Instead we got relegated
  12. Under current management? We probably are. Its just limiting expectations isnt it. If he mentions the potential for Cabaye to be off 7 times during the window & someone finally bids as a fanbase we're more accepting of it due to the expectation in comparison to it being a shock. Ashley wants his money back but he also wants his asset to keep a good status so he can get a good price in future, so we buy decent players for cheap, increase their status over here, sell them for big amounts, then reinvest part of the cash in similar replacements who he thinks can follow the same pattern. Hopeful outcome being we always do decently & he always makes a profit on who we bring in. All he needs then is a manager who will buy into letting his better players go, whilst also trying to get supporters to do the same. By having such a poor manager we don't really show this though. Clubs such as Porto and Lyon have the exact same strategy but they manage to entertain their fans and compete at the same time. Last year we didnt nope, id imagine Pardew has a limited period of time to prove he can keep doing this while also keeping Newcastle's performances close to the season before. Ashley needs our players to do well for him to see any profit on them, so it doesnt make any sense for him to try to purposely limit our ability. Obviously though he needs managers who are ok with the model, losing your best players can affect how you look as a manager & your own career. Keegan certainly wasnt willing to accept it when Milner was moved on etc. Plus im not sure he trusts his own judgement of what a good manager is anyway, he just gets close contacts in in recent times. Keegan was too emotional bless and out of touch the second time round sadly. I hope your right Jayson because in the current footballing climate the only way to be self sufficient is to adopt a model like Porto's. I think people tend to overplay the Kinnear/Ashley to be honest. If you look at continental managers they all have DOF's/Sporting directors who buy players on their behalf because these people are meant to be offer more longevity than your average player or manager. And in terms of Ashley he pays wages and he pays them on time. He's also pretty famous for rewarding good performance too so I'm sure his contracts will be incentive based but I'm sure if goals are hit they will be rewarded and rewarded generously dare i say. I guess we'll have to wait and see if we are struggling and it comes to christmas time and Pardew is still in charge then I think we've got to assume their is more to it.

Must be a troll. There is absolutely no need for this crap. Positive excited attitude = a troll.... Each to their own but i can't agree with Pardew's words personally. Aye well just say that rather than coming out with s**** things like 'must be a troll', f***ing sick of it, all you get on here for having a positive approach or having faith in players is 'WUM'...'Troll' ‘Retard’, happens daily on here. Can't a few of us just look forward to the game on Saturday fancying a win without being lynched every time we post something positive? Getting beyond a joke! A scrappy, jammy as f*** being on the back foot for 90 minutes, having one deflected shot at goal which goes through the legs of their injured substitute goalkeeper to give us a thoroughly undeserved 1-0 victory against a hard done to 8 man West Ham team ravaged by injury and unbelievably harsh sendings off would probably appease you Brett. It's all to do with result for you and not being able to see the big picture. I actually think we'll beat them Saturday but I'm not expecting decent entertainment or attractive football to achieve it. I bet you never seen an unhappy Fulham fan travelling back to London? Can't say I've ever seen any kind of Fulham fan tbh. I know they play far better football than we do. EDIT: Not really sure, if there is one, what your point is here? My point is they travelled from London, watched there side be completely outplayed by Sunderland, have the least amount of touches in the opposition box and least amount of shots out anyone in the league over the weekend. Yet they still travelled back with 3 points in the boot all the way back to London and that's all that matters at the end of the day the fact they won the game. And your point is? His point and correct me if im wrong Brett is: We should be satisfied with a underserved 3 points away from home against clubs with a similar stature to us regardless of how it's obtained.
  15. Home yes Televised if you live outside of the UK and it's archaic rules.

And we just know whats going to happen, don't we ? Yes we do Last season Pardew said Judge me after 10 games it's the same script over and over. http://www.themag.co.uk/the-mag-columnists/alan-pardew-sets-newcastle-a-ten-match-target/

Getting beyond a joke! my apologies mate, I just find it hard to say things like well said when Pardew is spewing out tripe such as we can't control our own transfers and such. Every time he opens his mouth he talks down the club and it's prospect and personally i find it patronising. Don't fall for it fella. Brett has to be on the wind up. What in that piece from Pardew could you say well done too? I am going to give him some credit by saying he is on the wind up and not a dribbling lunatic. “We need to get a couple of results in very quickly, just for our fans" "We aren't in a position to dictate our transfers" Like we we're going to do well in the last Derby for our fans? The man has spoken about being more attacking and playing better football in the past and it hasn't come to fruition, so do pardon my skepticism.

I know your illustrating a point here Incognito but this is exactly the problem. Pardew has been allowed to paper over the cracks with such victories on so many occasions.
  21. It's like a black comedy is this: I was scratching my head about the meeting they had at the start of pre season. I thought to myself "shouldn't they have sorted out who they want to buy this summer before the window opened." Yet here we are 2 weeks left and we still haven't worked it out. We are clearly being strung along here.
