  1. This is irritating as fuck, why aren't we selecting our first 11 to give them time to gel, if that is our first 11 God help Mclaren
  2. http://www.themag.co.uk/2015/07/a-corner-turned-or-history-repeating-newcastle-united-transfer-spending/ His companies have taken plenty out of the club In the way of free sponsorship. That's mentioned My bad, I see your reasoning and thought process but I don't see anything in Ashleys behaviour which tells me he wants us to be anything more than also rans

  4. I'd see it as pretty much par for the course to be honest. Still lots of holes to be filled.
  5. Definitely not Cabaye's replacement though, honest. Grenier is going to sign any minute.
  6. Wouldn't accept the pittance we offered no doubt. Such a pity.
  7. Meanwhile Hatem is tearing it up in Nice's pre season
  8. Yup we will be playing the clowns who have conceded over a 120 goals in the past two seasons instead
  9. Eric Steele for Woodman yes fucking please.
  10. We choose Pardew over this guy
  11. Sports direct who contribute nothing to the club with the logo on it. Quite disgusting
  12. Struggling against League One opposition is unsurprising. Presuming Mbemba's visa is approved I wonder who his partner might be against Southampton. Saylor? Another new centre half hopefully.
  13. James Chester How many times have you seen him play? He's a great player. A couple of times would prefer Matip or Addenbour. at great player though
  14. Name some of our players who are better than him.
  15. People advocating selling one of our better players
  16. Why just over £5m? Douglas info is that we are to expect one more signing over 10m and the remainder will be around the 5m mark He doesnt say that though, just says one could be eight figures. How do you know that isnt the CB? In his replies on twitter he says exactly that - and that he assumes the 10m plus is Austin So basically he knows absolutely nothing other than we might be shopping in Germany. No - he claims we are looking at a cb who plays in Germany and that broadly he knows the price range we are working in for our 3 remaining targets. I like him/ think he has some good sources and so he is worth listening to. You are free to dismiss what he says If he assumes that a possible eight figure fee could be Austin then that groundbreaking insight has won me over. In truth all he has done is repeat the millions of rumours the past 6/8 weeks. Been after Matip/Austin all summer, hardly takes ITK to say it. Considering the bloke sitting next to him is talking about signings to knock our socks off i dare say they dont know too much more than anyone else really. Like Mole says, going cheap on others while lumping in on Austin would be plain stupidity And so typical of us at the same time
  17. Why do you hope he's wrong? I'd be shocked if we pushed the boat out so far lol
  18. He plays in the Belgian league, i don't think it's that much of a coup personally It makes little difference what league they play in. A good signing is a good signing. There's an element of risk but every transfer has risk. Wijnaldum was a coup for us, he played in Holland. We are cheap by premier league standards buying players from clubs with much lower resources than ourselves and competing against the likes of Swansea hardly classes as "coups" in my opinion. Signing any high quality player is a coup, for us! Especially ones who are on the radar of more ambitious clubs. Just goes to show the level of expectation around here. He's the sort player we should be targeting and signing without a problem, We've bought big names from Man Utd and Chelsea in the past. That turned out well. It doesn't matter how much players cost orwhere they're signed from from as long as they perform. No one is advocating signing players who are over the hill and unmotivated or just generally lacking in any footballing ability whatsoever.
  19. That this potentially could be a good signing but its no "coup"

He's the sort player we should be targeting and signing without a problem, Ah, we are pretending Ashley doesn't own the club? And that we haven't been in a relegation battle for the last 3 seasons? Where we are Mitrovic, Austin standard is the best we can get. To get a better side takes far more ambition and far more money. Nope but I also won't allow my expectations to be lowered.
