We have a bit of a fundamental issue mind. If Eddie needs specific players for his side to function and all which seem to come at extremely high prices we are in a bind. Eddie leaves for whatever reason and the club has to pick up the pieces. To me it’s kinda clear we have some form of breakdown and a lack of strategy mind and of course Eddie is the one who will get the brunt of it. it’s also really interesting this briefing is telling another story compared to hopes. We now enter the briefing war period.

I have a question for everyone mind. 1, do we believe the club has a preference to sign players with PL experience? 2, if yes, do we believe this preference is the manager or the clubs? 3, do we believe we can juggle psr with this preference?
-
My friend the argument doesn’t wash, we had 70m to spend yet we are starting Krafth Murphy Miggy or longstaff. It’s obvious our failings this window can not be blamed solely on psr or having the right players available.
-
If you look and have a look at the links since Tonalis ban 90% of them are British based, we are absolutely petrified of making another mistake and have essentially locked our self into the most stupidly inflated market in the world in a league which has more financial controls than a multi national bank.
-
According to the gaffa that time scale is more like 10 years now.
-
We’ve added two additional pieces of deadwood to our squad in ruddy and vlad.

I love your positivity mate, I truly do. I’m not sure I agree with what your saying because Liverpool are a much more successful club than us, I’m not sure a siege mentality will be enough to see us through either. I need to see a plan which works towards our aims mind, wooly words (not from you btw) just don’t do anything for me I loathe being bullshitted.
-
They sign the cheques yes. Decision making is next to the management and explained to pif.
-
This will be the plan mind, although I expect the price to be our last offer.
-
I think the blame/ responsibility for them in more technical in nature but I’m sure from where they are sitting they are paying people considerable sums to sort all of this. But to be very frank, we should be multi club, we should be building a new training ground and SJP question should have been one of the first on the agenda.
-
Yeah I see what you’re saying but I don’t see it the same sadly. Yes we need Eddie to perform Miracles but even if he does will it be enough? I think an overdue realisation is starting to occur throughout the club to be frank, we are banging our heads on the glass ceiling now our wings clipped. I ask you and everyone else,I think we can safely assume the club would have deemed this window a success if they just got Guehi in; would that have been enough to push into the CL? Because I don’t think it would be personally. It’s a big ask I know but if you aren’t back challenging for that this season we are in stagnation territory and that is an extremely difficult place to be in this league with the rules we have, you can ask West ham if you don’t believe me.

Real life more important any of this, please accept my apology.
-
Agree but even this doesn’t have any form of consensus and it probably meets overall resistance if we can’t stay within 10 mins of our current location.
-
Your a much better poster than giving patently terrible transfer windows 7’s.

I think we’ve all been sold a goal a lofty one at that, since PSR has shown its teeth we have no strategy to pivot to. It’s obviously really soffit with a lot of moving plates and stakeholders line ultimately we need absolutely visionary executives to pull of what needs to be done.
-
Why? The critique of PIF would be what they’ve appointed bad executives?
-
They can’t can they? Pissing away careers which are better than conference league challengers. We will be back to square one with a lot of money to burn. Let’s hope next time around we actually come up with some form of cohesive plan because it’s patently obvious we do not have one atm.
-
The point about selling and contracts expiring is a big issue kind, ultimately we can’t player trade because we have a squad full of players who are old with expiring contracts. Yes we will save on wages but we will have to pay fees to get in replacements. We better pray city win the case and the owners are willing to get investing via sponsors.
-
It didn’t have to be no, although as time passed the options narrow. Our commercial performance hasn’t been enough, far too much inaction and money left on the table. We literally need every penny but that message seemingly hasn’t been relayed. We seem to have a concept of the perfect forever player who we can keep for 10 years which is a bit silly, the only way to bridge the gap is to player trade did we even get another potential Minteh in who could help with the future psr issues?

I'm with you on this, I'm waiting not so patiently about what the plan is for the stadium. It will tell me all I need to know. If you take out the emotion, it's quite clear we need a new ground which can be a hub and a commercial engine for the club moving forward. Spurs have given the blueprint we don't even need to think for ourselves about what needs to be done.
-
Kudos to you as well for engaging and thinking critically over the long term strategy and planning the club have done.
-
Maybe, maybe not we will know for certain either way. If it was a factor I’d expect some form of pivot in regards to strategy or the goal was the same kind. Of the goal posts are shifted and your ambitions remain surely you have to change something to achieve your aims? Or have the goals changed and the plan is muddle along and see where that gets us? I doubt it as that isn’t even a viable plan I guess what I’m getting at is, what is the plan to be number one? How do we plan on reaching that lofty goal?

Sterling to Arsenal sancho to Chelsea all confirmed

Everyone loved when he said, rightfully so and myself included. It’s just a shame we haven’t backed up his words with actions to warrant the lofty ambitions. People keep moaning about the fans being unhappy but it’s the ownership who’ve raised expectations to where they are.
